Up for auction is a 1948 Pontiac Woodie I purchased at a charity auction in 1997. It starts up fine every time I go to drive it. It was previously owned by a judge in Delaware and he had it restored in the wood shop and automotive shop at the Smyrna DE Correctional Facility. I would estimate that it is 80% restored. The wood and body are in excellent condition and I believe the upholstery is original, with only a few worn spots. What I know it needs are: front bumper and grille need to be re-chromed, radio and gas gauge don't work, a few of the screws around the interior front window don't match the other screws, there is a tiny crack in the left side window above the door lock,there is a tiny chip in the paint above the left rear wheel well and on the brake light mounts. Also, it's missing one hubcap. I haven't driven it very much since I've owned it. It's been sitting in my garage. Recently I've had a new battery installed, the pinion seal replaced, and the brake master cylinder replaced. Car is located in Hockessin, DE, near Wilmington.
