just got letter from dmv,since car has not been registered in the last three years,they have no records of the car.they said it will take six to eight weeks to process a new title.as long as there is no other issues.please keep this in mind if you plan on driving this car someday.if using car for parts then u have no problems! It would have been nice to know this when i applied for the title! this is a 1980 vw rabbit 4 door. 1.7 liter with auto transmission.it has 65,203 original miles on it.Car sat in garage since 1985.just pulled out before winter to try and get running again.it does start and run but it shuts off after a couple of seconds.just needs some finish going through it.i dont have much time to work on it have other projects going on.interior is in pretty good shape.exterior is pretty good for the year no major rust .floor pans are solid.has a little dent under right side tail light.gas tank is rusted inside.i had the tank bypassed while i was working on it.had no signs of leaks from any of the lines. .the car would make a nice driver if u wanted to spend a little time working on it,or it would be a great parts car.any other question please ask buyer will have to set up there own shipping arrangements unless you are local just keep in mind if you need title with this car ,im supposed to have by the time auction ends.this is according to nysdmv.I know that they are not always the fastest people on earth..
