1951 Studebaker Commander Landcruiser. Nothing says "1950's" more than this top of the line, bullet -nosed offering from South Bend, Indiana! This one is a true survivor barn find with only 63,000 original miles. The title says it - and on close inspection it is believable. It has always been garaged and was last inspected in 2003. The paint is mostly original and the rest of the car's cosmetics are completely original. It has wonderful body integrity - the center opening doors, hood, trunk and all windows and vents operate nicely - even the courtesy light works. The steering feels good, the wiide whites have virtually no wear and the engine runs smooth and quiet with no smoke. It has had a recent water pump and recored radiator. It will need new brakes, a gas tank cleaning and at present I cannot get the car to back up. With a modest bit of reconditioning this car would make a great original cruiser or go all out for a super street custom!
