Vehicle Detail

Welcome. You are bidding on a rare opportunity to own a very original 1970 Mercedes Benz 6.3 Sedan. Please take a look at the description and pictures. Should you have any questions please feel free to email me or phone me at 925.876.1281. I am happy to help assist out of state and overseas buyers in transport/customs paperwork. This car shows a branded title as back in the day the DMV fees were too much and the mechanic branded it in order to avoid paying them. This car shows no signs of any accidents and appears to have its original paint. Please take a look at the photo album below for additional pictures. http://s263.photobucket.com/albums/ii152/MrBMW2002/1970300sel/ History: I am assiting the owner who is a 6.3 collector that lives in the Bay Area. He has a small collection of them and they have been sitting indoors for sometime. I was told that one of them had the lap record for a 4 door sedan at Laguna Seca. This car spent most of its life in the dry California weather, with a short visit to Oregon as he had a second home there. This car still has its original documents, owner’s manuals, and some records. This car has a lot of potential Exterior: This car appears to still have its original factory paint. The color is 172G Anthracite Grey Metallic. It has the optional factory electric sunroof. I have not made any attempt to polish or wax this car. With a proper detail I would assume that the paint would look excellent. This car has never been in an accident and does not have any filler. The doors all shut nicely and it has very nice lines. This car has a solid rust free body, with the exception of a small amount forming by the tow hook area. Interior: The interior of this car is in very original shape. This car has the original seats, dash, gauges, headliner etc. This car still even has its original Becker Grand Prix radio that works! This car has the original carpets and rugs. This car had factory A/C option and it appears that all of the hardware is still intact. Engine/Transmission: This car still has the original engine and transmission. It was a very nice running and driving car prior to being parked several years ago. Since it has been sitting there has been no attempt in starting it up again. I would assume that it would need fresh fluids, new battery and a quick once over. Suspension: The airbags are sagging a bit due to the time it is sitting. I am not sure if they are bad, or in fact will inflate when the car is started again. Spares: This car comes with spares as seen in the photos. It has parts of the original tool kit, jacks, etc. In addition it has some new chrome peices for the front window and surrounding trim. Overall: This is a great chance to get into an early 6.3 sedan. It would make a great restoration candidate, weekend project or amazing parts car.
