1979 Mercedes-Benz 300D This vehicle is equipped with a 3.0 liter OHC 5-cylinder diesel engine with diesel fuel injection. Other options include the following standard features: 4-speed automatic transmission Power steering Climate control Power assisted four wheel disc brakes Cruise control Central locking system Fully independent suspension Electric windows Heated rear window Automatic antennae Front and rear center folding arm rests Parcel nets Fully adjustable front bucket seats Factory tool kit This is a 2 owner vehicle which has been very well maintained since purchased in 1979. It has an excellent running diesel engine which starts every time. The automatic transmission does have a slight shifting problem when first started, but seems to operate perfectly after a few miles shifting smoothly through each gear. The body is in great condition with only a small rust hole in the passenger side fender. The interior does show some signs of its age. The dash has a few cracks and the seat springs are creaky. The headliner is perfect. The vehicle is equipped with the original hubcaps. It has a good Michelin spare tire along with the original jack and the Mercedes-Benz tool kit located in the trunk. Included are the original window sticker and build sheet along with all of the owners manuals.
