Vehicle Detail
For the discerning buyer, we are selling a VERY RARE 1930 Model A, 4 door Phaeton, Model # 35-B. which is a RIGHT HAND DRIVE automobile. This vehicle was originally built in Canada, and shipped to New Zealand for assembly and use there. The New Zealand license plate is NZ 5626, and is registered in California with license # 344 JSN. The engine is CAI 3596, which suggests that this vehicles engine was constructed in Canada between August 1930 and October of 1930. This car has received a total frame off restoration by the owner who was certified and licensed as an AP technician qualified to certify aircraft. The restoration was completed in 2010 and has less than 500 miles since the total rebuild. The speedometer shows 07905 miles. This is an all steel car that has had the following items done to it. 1. Complete engine rebuild, with less than 500 miles by Adam Reed Restoration of Turlock, California. 2. New paint: Body is Beige, trim is Brown with Straw pinstrping, the beige has been pinstriped in Brown, fenders are Black and the wheels have been powder coated in Straw color. 3. 5- brand new Firestone whitewall tires and tubes mounted to newly powder coated wheels. 4. Newly rebuilt radiator. 5. All of the original brakes have new parts including the necessary bushings, springs, linings, etc. 6. The upholstery was purchased from Lebaron /Bonney and installed by Mariposa Upholstery. 7. New seat springs on front and rear seats by Lebaron/Bonney. 8. The new top was also purchased from Lebaron/Bonney and installed by Mariposa Upholstery. There is a new Tonneau cover. There are no side curtains. 9. The shocks are original and have been completely rebuilt. 10. The transmission is very quiet and shifts well. 11. The differential is very good. 12. The bumpers have been re chromed and all of the stainless buffed. 13. There are a few extra parts, such as a tire mounted rear view mirror. 14. There is not a speck of rust on this car anywhere, and is solid as a rock. 15. New luggage rack. 16. Directional lights added as a safety precaution. 17. The ignition has been converted to electronic, but appears as original. 18. The cut out relay on the generator has been modified, but appears as original. 19. The etched safety glass wind wing on the passenger side has been shattered and is only good for a pattern. This is a vehicle which could be run "AS-IS" for years of enjoyment. Any collector or Model A buff would be proud to have it in their collection. This car is sold "AS IS", "WHERE IS", but the discriminating buyer (by appointment only) should take a trip to Oakhurst, California, which is just about 1 hour North of Fresno, California to inspect and drive this fine vehicle. Roll under the car on the floor and be prepared to be amazed at the fact that it looks as good underneath as it does at floor level. and was obviously never " molested" by anyone. The potential buyer is to understand that all shipping and handling charges will be their responsibility and that we can and will help in the loading of said vehicle to whoever the carrier is of the buyers choice. This also is by appointment only. Good luck bidding and if there are any questions regarding this vehicle, please ask and we will respond promptly.
