History: During the late 70's and 80's many celebrities like Paul Newman , Haskell Wexler, Steve McQueen , James Dean, and few others were amongst the most well known car enthusiasts and collectors in the world. No smog check is required for this car. 1975 and older cars are smog exempt in CA . You can easily with little money add more HP to this engine since is rate for 500+HP. Parts are very inexpensive and kits are available from performance upgrades to AC units at local shops in USA. Transaxle: Porsche 911 915 style 5-speed rebuild transaxle to handle the torque Short shift kit Shortened bell housing and input shaft, Adapter plate, flywheel, and Kevlar clutch, Turbo 930 axles Transmission was rebuild to racing spec's to handle this kind of torque in 08 . It shifts smooth with no issues. (receipts available $6300) Cooling : Custom big radiator placed in front with Spall cooling fan. (used in racing cars) It is customized with aircraft aluminum cooling material with wind flow. Meziere electric water pump - circulates 55 GPM even while stopped in traffic.
