Vehicle Detail

This is a vintage and very classic Chevy Blazer K5 in very good UN-restored condition. There is no rust to speak of. This Blazer has spent it's time in southern Arizona. Sold as new at a Chevrolet dealership in Tempe and I bought it from a family in Tempe, AZ. I can find no rust any where on this truck. There is some sun fading to be expected but it is in very good shape and completely stock factory original for the most part. It has a 350 with a 4 barrel carburetor. It has the Muncie 4 speed manual transmission SM465 ( The SM465 is heavy-duty truck transmission is used in light duty and heavy duty trucks. The SM465 was made by General Motors from 1968 to 1991. The SM465 can be found in Chevrolet and GMC full-size trucks, Blazers, Suburbans among other models The "SM" in the transmission's designation stands for Synchro-Mesh. Gear Ratios are: First Gear - 6.55:1Second Gear - 3.58:1Third Gear - 1.70:1Fourth Gear - 1.00:1Reverse - 6.09:1 ) It has a part time transfer case the gear driven NP-205. Very strong and cheap rebuild parts. It drips about the size of a dollar bill or so when you park but it functions great. The top is tan and in great condition. No leaks. There is a small dent in the drivers side front fender (shown in pics), and some faded original paint and peeling clear coat. The carpet is faded and the drivers seat is worn ( shown in pics). Some material is provided for the repair. Tires are a Dunlop Mud Terrain 31" on factory wheels. Spare is a Michelin. Includes jack and tire changing tools under the hood and a neat utility light (shown in pics) that reaches to the rear of the vehicle and has a magnetic mount. The grill has no cracks and is in great shape. The only aftermarket item I can think of is the fog/driving lights that work great (Warn brand) via toggle switch under the dash. Rear window is crank operated and works great. All glass is good with no chips or cracks. The Dash is in amazingly great condition! The vents are tight and not wobbly, the factory stereo is AM FM cassette with clock and works great. The dash has No cracks and is in fact not even faded due to the dash mat. The metal parts of the dash are painted brown matching the exterior paint and is in fabulous condition. The glove box is in great condition. There are cup holders in the center console. No tow receiver on this Blazer since new so we know it has never worked hard pulling a trailer. It has the stock suspension so I figure it has spent minimal time off-road if at all. It does however have newer shocks and the exhaust looks to be newer too. Interior lights including dome lights and instrument panel lights all work good. Gauges all work good. Fan switch and blower motor work as they should. Drives straight and sounds good. AC and heater work good. Windshield wiper switch works but can be a little temperamental. Wiper blades are a bit worn and could stand to be replaced. No ticks or weird sounds from the engine. Motor oil is clean and looks like honey. Original Hub Caps included (not in pics). The "Brake" light in the instrument panel comes on sometimes but the brakes work ok. Could probably be serviced. This is a Classic and Vintage Chevy in really good shape. If you wanted a show truck this would be a great one to start with. A small amount of body work and paint, new carpet kit ($100) and you are well on your way. Or drive as is. Feel Free to ask questions. I will co-operate with your shipper of choice. Blazer is located in St. George, UT 84770 Only selling to pay off some bills. This is a grat link to learn more about the Chevy Blazer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_K5_Blazer On Mar-20-12 at 22:10:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Missing one piece of body trim shown in pics on passenger side. On Mar-22-12 at 20:35:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I originally wrote that the x-fer case drips about the size of a dollar bill when you park it, Ebay won't let me edit that except to make a new comment here. One time it made a drip about the size of a dollar bill. Maybe it was topped off with too much fluid. It usually drips a little but not that much. If I could keep it I would put some new seals in it, I looked it up and a rebuild kit is only about $20.00. I thought that saying it dripped the size of a dollar bill was inaccurate and made it sound worse than it is.
