For sale: RARE 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Y88 w72 4 speed. Car was originally equipped with the optional w72 400 cubic inch V8 with 4 speed trans. Car does not have engine or trans. Car does however still have the original 6x-4 heads and 3.42 posi rear Car is in need of restoration. Car has brand new professionally installed floor pans. Pans are perfect with no rust or rot! New body mounts newer rear shocks Interior: Interior is complete minus radio and door panels. Seats have some rips but just need new covers. Frames and foams are still good. Dash has some cracks but is complete with all gauges and duct work. Interior plastic trims are also present and in good shape. Original standard interior with manual windows. and T-tops. Car is a 4 speed car with 4 speed tunnel. Console in car is not correct, its an auto console. Exterior: car wears the original solar gold paint. Has some rust around the bottom of the rear window on the passenger side and on the passenger rocker. Bottoms of doors have some rust as well. Bottoms of front drivers side fender has been repaired and doesn't have any rot. Passenger fender has some rot on bottom. Radiator is perfect with no rot at all. rear tail pan has some rot on bottom but nothing major. T-top area is in great shape with no rot. Frame rails are in EXCELLENT shape with no rust or rot! Overall a great candidate for a restoration! The Y88's are highly desireable and especially with the w72 engine and a 4 speed! Basically what you see here is what you get. Comes with original heads, ac compressor, crossmember and minor interior trim parts. Car has Clear title and original build sheet! Trim tag also has y88 stamped on it.
