You are bidding on a very solid 2001 Kia Sportage 4x4. It has 171K miles and looks and drives like new. The motor and transmission runs perfectly. The motor is strong with plenty of passing power. The automatic transmission shifts 100%. The 4-wheel drive system functions perfectly as well – offering shift-on-the-fly capability without issue. The paint is in great shape. There are a couple of dings here and there as you would expect but overall the exterior is in good condition. The interior could use a good detailing. The previous owner had 2 children and the backseat shows that the kids had a lot of wonderful memories there. The main point of issue is the rear floor behind the driver’s seat. Apparently, bleach had accidentally spilled and ruined the carpet (pictured). A floor mat covers this nicely but I wanted it shown for full disclosure. The alloy rims are in great shape. The tires are in decent condition. They have a good amount of tread left. The spare is also in good condition. Brakes and rotors are in good condition. I have replaced the rear brakes and hubs. A small issue to address is the radio. The cd and readio do function properly but the display and buttons are worn – so a new unit might be recommended. It’s a small thing but I wanted to mention it. Overall, this is a solid little car – good gas mileage for a student or family and perfect for commuting. It should pass any state inspection with minimal issues.
