DESCRIPTION:
No other vehicle brand has the staying power that Mercedes has. People always say when you buy a high-end luxury car that you are just paying for the name, but that is simply not true in the case of Mercedes. Mercedes has a reputation for building automobiles that last and last and look great all along the way!
Our beautifully maintained 2003 Mercedes E320 Wagon is a perfect example of that legacy. This car has over 255K miles on the odometer, but still looks excellent inside and out and runs and drives almost like new! Sure, there are some broken plastic vents inside and some tiny paint chips here and there, but overall this car looks terrific. And mechanically, where it really counts, this E320 is in excellent condition! The engine doesn't leak, burn oil or smoke at all. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly and works perfectly. The car's suspension feels as good as new and the ride is smooth and sure-footed with no interior squeaks or noises. The Michelin tires are almost new all around and this Benz gets excellent fuel economy for a mid-size luxury automobile with an EPA Rated 21MPG City and 29MPG Highway! This E320 just passed our Virginia State Inspection with no problem. The only items that will need to address in the next couple years is the replacement of the rear brake rotors and an oil service (the oil service is depending on how many miles you drive per year).
As I've said before, no expense was spared by this car's ONE OWNER to maintain this Benz according to the manufacturer's specifications. Everything was done on-time and all needed repairs were completed straight away. The engine runs great, the A/C works great, the BOSE audio system works great, the seat heaters work great, the Navigation system works great (we do not have a NAV Disc though), the sunroof works great, and most everything else works...well...great! The only things not operational are: The driver's seat power-headrest will not move, the Mercedes phone system is not functioning because the phone is not present and the Mercedes Tele-Aid antenna is broken so it doesn't work. Other than those electrical items, this car has no known defects mechanically or electronically.
Cosmetically, our wagon looks remarkable considering the amount of miles on the car. The paint is beautiful all around. The right front door has been repainted due to some bad scratches, but not due to any accident(Remember...the CARFAX is clean). The body is straight and rust free. There are numerous very tiny paint chips on the front end, but 99% of them have been touched-up and are not even noticeable except upon close inspection (they are to small and to light to even show up in a picture). There are a few more tiny chips around the car that have not been touched-up yet, but they too are hardly noticeable except up close. The rear bumper has multiple small scratches and chips in the middle and on top from loading and unloading the cargo area. The alloy wheels look good, but do have some curb scrapes and some scratches in the paint. They could easily be repainted at very little cost. A couple of the alloy wheel center caps need to be replaced. The tires are almost new all around. The front bumper has a broken portion down low (mainly underneath the car) on the right front corner of the front bumper. There is a picture of this area in the numerous large pics at the end of this auction. The side and rear glass on the car is in excellent condition. The windshield has a few very tiny and shallow rock chips and one eraser-head size fish-eye crack. The crack is down low on the driver's side and did pass our VA State Inspection without issue.
Inside, this car still looks great in spite of the mileage. Overall, the entire interior looks great, but there are some minor (and easily repaired) blemishes inside. The leather seats look very nice and have no rips or tears and the color looks great too. The front passenger seat has some heavy crease lines in the center part of the bottom seat. The perforated holes there are slightly worn, but the seat still looks very good overall. The rear seats look almost new, but are missing the headrest. The pop-out cupholder will not stay in on the rear seat's fold-down armrest. The brackets are missing that are supposed to hold a retractable cargo cover in the rear. We do not have the cargo cover itself. The door panels look great overall, but the rear doors have some gouges in them (pics below). The ashtray cover is missing on the right rear door panel. The dash looks like new all over. The center armrest is worn and has one tiny cut on the driver's side, but has no rips or tears. The A/C vents on the back of the center console (for rear seat passengers) are broken out. The headliner looks very nice and is fully intact with no drooping. The driver's sunvisor droops a little less than halfway down, while the passenger sunvisor droops only about a quarter of the way down. The map pocket on the back of the front passenger seat is stretched out and lastly, the plastic door sill is broken out in the right rear door opening. As I said before, this car looks great inside and if a few parts were replaced or repaired, it could look almost new again.
Well, that pretty much describes our 2003 Mercedes E320S wagon completely. Cosmetically, mechanically and electronically this Benz is very nice! Make sure, if you plan on using financing, that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
