Wheels have light scratches on rim edges. Polishing would make them look better. · zhp int trim w/M3 cluster reflecting actual mileage of m3 running gear · m3 steering wheel w/functional radio and cruise controls · Touring Wagon Front Seats w/Sport Package (more support, larger bolsters) · UUC RK6A weighted shift knob · eibach springs/sport package shocks and struts · poly bushed front control arms · poly bushed rear trailing arms Exterior This is no show car although the paint is very presentable and ORIGINAL. As the saying goes, you can paint it any time you like but it’s only original once. As detailed in the pics, the paint is very clean and glossy, especially for its vintage. Typical, age-appropriate fine scratches and nicks on a 13-14 year old car. Most should polish out w/enough elbow grease. No dings or dents that could be captured by camera. Interior Very good shape. Leather obviously not as factory supple and could use a conditioner of some sort. NO RIPS OR TEARS. Has infamous E46 HVAC blower low-pitch, whirring noise. Minor and intermittent so never replaced. To Do The factory roof rack has been removed subjecting the open cutouts to the elements. The car is garaged in SOCAL so not much ‘weather’ to worry about here. I can supply carbon fiber ‘patching’ material for the new owner or simply reinstall the original roof rails which will come with the car. I believe I may have seen a factory ‘filler’ kit as well. The windshield washer nozzles were not purchased/installed during the hood change-over. The hoses/nozzle grill/ electrical is there to retrofit. Aforementioned and intermittent HVAC noise. Again, our weather in Socal is quite mild, so I never saw the need for it. Trades My interests are very specific, please no projects. If your car is appropriately market valued, I have interest in trade plus cash (to me) toward the following clean titled/clean carfax’d BMW’s: E30 M3, S52 M Coupe (E368), E39 M5, E39 530i, E39 Touring (528ITA, 6 CYL ONLY) E36 M3/4/5, and LSB E46 M3. I also have a soft spot for custom pre-1950’s cars and motorcycles. These are the ONLY vehicles I will consider and I have no interest in straight across trade. To that end, if you have the purple unicorn of E30 M3, an S54 M coupe with 5k mi, or a period correct SCTA lakes style roadster from the 30’s, the trade obviously won’t work. I am looking to net cash for savings and toward home improvement projects while having another fun weekend car to replace the M3 Wagon. Why Sell? It is difficult to face the prospect of parting with this car, my favorite of all time. My commute is a bit further than previous and I sit in LOTS more Socal traffic (91 FWY BE DAMNED). My wife and I loved this car so much we decided to buy another, more muted (slushbox) E46 Touring. The ‘evil’ wagon is now relegated to garage and weekend duty while my wife and I take turns daily driving the behaved, ‘good’ wagon and E36 M3/4/5. Can you believe it?
