Vehicle Detail

1976 R90/6 in excellent condition with less than 9000 miles. This bike is almost entirely original equipment -- original engine, paint, etc. Starts easily, runs great. The grips were recently replaced (I'm working on getting better replacement grips), and both wheels were replaced after being dented by a pothole (bike tracks straight, only the wheels were damaged). Bike has never been wrecked. Still has the original toolkit under the seat, and the original knob key. Tires should be replaced soon, but it is totally rideable. Bike was recently given thorough maintenance by a mechanic who knows these old airheads well. Carbs are in good shape, has some new hoses, a new battery, and a current Texas inspection sticker. A shop manual will be included. Bike is in Austin, Texas and is available for inspection. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I'll do what I can to make shipping it easy. I will deliver to buyers within 100 miles of Austin. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close, balance is due within 7 days. Cashiers check or money orders only, please. On Mar-18-12 at 19:10:37 PDT, seller added the following information: 1976 R90/6 in excellent condition with less than 9000 miles. He worked overseas most of his career, so the bike was in storage a lot. I have all of the receipts and service records for the bike, all the way back to the original bill of sale. I should have said that both rims were replaced, rather than both wheels. I've been asked a lot about dents, etc. There is a tiny dent on the left hand side of the tank, toward the front. It's very hard to see, I didn't see it until tonight when I had the flashlight on it to try to photograph the inside of the tank. I can't get a good picture of it, it's not bubble-shaped, more like a tiny door ding. There is also one small flaw on the seat, it looks like a small blister, smaller than a dime. It's not visible unless you are right next to the bike. The bike has a cover.
