Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1967 Jeepster power top convertible. This is one of 2325 power top convertibles built. This is a no reserve auction as long as the opening bid is made, it will sell. I am the 2nd owner of this car, which I purchased in 1977, when it had about 32,000 miles on it. It was “rebuilt” at that time. The rebuild included the installation of a complete new engine (I was just going to freshen it up but Jeep was clearing out engines at that time and it was cheaper to get a complete new engine than it was to rebuild one.). New 11” Wagner style brakes (including the drums and backing plates along with the cylinders, shoes and hardware), new convertible top, new GM style alternator, rebuilt trans and freshened transfer case. In addition, the rear seat surrounds were upholstered. It was blasted inside and out and there was a color change done. The vehicle was orginally the yellow and white combination. In short, this vehicle was virtually new just 6,000 miles ago. To make this vehicle 100% original would be difficult because of the color change, and the fact that a new engine was installed. It is the correct engine for the vehicle, 225 Buick V-6, but the numbers would not be correct. In addition, the alternator is a GM style with built in regulator. I still have and would include the original Motorola alternator along with the regulator and harness. The chrome belt molding is also not factory, but again, I have the OE molding except one angle piece and it would be included with the sale. The right thing to do would be to remove the upholstery from the rear seat surrounds, and just paint them as the fabric interferes with the rear window crank. This vehicle is in great general condition, with all mechanical systems working correctly. There are a few problems that will need attention at some point, The power top switch has died, there are some weather-strips that should be replaced, and the paint at the drivers door sill, and a few other spots has cracked or bubbled and should be corrected. (Go figure, you make some repairs, you do the right prep and the paint only lasts 30 years or so.) Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 7 days of Auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, I will gladly cooperate, you can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`. If you are not sure about something, Please ASK. I reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback, or 0 feedback. Please email me with feedback under 10 so I know that you are a serious bidder. Please do not bid on this auction unless you are serious about owning this vehicle. All non-paying high bidders will be reported to eBay, and negative feedback posted. Key words Jeepster Commando, C101, Jeep, Convertible, NR
