Up for sale is a 1994 F-150 that i bought last year and hauled home from central Florida. There is no rust on this vehicle. It has a little under 180,000 miles on it. The best thing this truck has going for it is its rust free body and aluminum wheels. Even though it runs decent, it has so many miles, that i will not guarantee in any way. You are buying it AS IS. When i bought it, the engine was blown up - It was going to be my sons first vehicle & I wanted to show him how to change an engine, then he could have it. With gasoline being as expensive as it is, I ended up buying him a ford focus and now we are selling this. Below is what we have done to get it running. We bought a second F-150 that ran, but the body was rotted out. It was an Eddie Bauer, so we put alot of the trim pieces and seat into this truck. We also pulled the engine and transmission out of the Eddie Bauer truck to put into this one. While we had the engine out, we pulled the oil pan off and put new standard main and rod bearings in it, along with a new melling oil pump. We also put a new double roller timing chain on it. We changed the valve cover gaskets and had a look at the rockers and everything seemed to look very clean on the top and the bottom end - no sludge. Both motor mounts were torn, so we put new ones on. The truck origionally had an automatic transmission, but we converted it to a 5 speed using everything from the eddie bauer truck. After we got it running and driving, we changed the front shocks and put new front brakes on it. We also replaced all 4 upper and lower ball joints, but no other front end parts, because they were tight. The truck needs a front end alignment - it kind of wanders. Also, i sometimes faintly smell antifreeze. I think it's leaking it somewhere, but it's such a small amount that i cannot physically see it and rarely have to add any - but it will probably need attention at some point. I have been driving it that way for a couple months and just had to add some to the overflow tank. We also put a new clutch slave and master cylinder in it. The interior is dirty & needs a good cleaning. The passanger side seat has a tear at the seam as you can see in the photo. The carpeting is cut around the shifter. The tires are in decent shape with over 50% tread - maybe more, but definitely 50%. When we converted this truck to manual - we had to leave the old neutral safety switch hooked up from the automatic transmission in order to start the vehicle. Not a big deal, but something you need to remember is that if you are driving down the road with cruise control, then push in the clutch (if you are getting off the interstate), the cruise control will accelerate the engine to red line. Cruise needs to be turned off before pushing in the clutch. The last photo shows the engine with the oil pan off and you can see the new oil pump. Also, you can see the timing cover is off, from when we replaced the timing chain. The truck was purchased to show my son how to work on vehicles. It served its purpose & now it's time to move on. If you are looking for a truck that runs perfect and you will never have to work on - bid on something else. But if you want a truck with a nice solid rust free body, but has a ton of miles and dont expect much else, then this is the truck for you. Cash on pickup.
