This car started out as a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula. I have converted the front end to a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am including the fenders, hood, bumper, shaker, wiring, brackets, etc. I have the fender flares and lower valance (ground effects) for the trans am that will come with the car to finish the trans am look. The rear end is still a 1979 firebird, as seen in the pictures. The car has a Pontic 400 in it with 6x heads and a mild cam. It has a turbo 400 attached. The motor has around 20 miles on it currently since it was built. It has an Edelbrock performer intake on it, elite valve covers, flex fan, and many other new parts. I bought the short block out of Pennsylvania right after it had been built, but do not know too much about the internals of the engine. The motor was in a 1970 firebird I was building before this car and ran well. I can't seem to get the timing right on the motor in the new car, so it has run in this car, but rough. The car will have to be towed when it is picked up. The interior is from a 1970 firebird including the dash (one minor crack next to the steering wheel but very nice on top and overall), bucket seats, door panels, and console. The car also has new carpet put in it and a 1978 trans am formula style steering wheel. There is no headliner in the car. The interior was dyed black but is in overall good conditions. Some cracks in the driver seat and some wear and tear on some of the trim, but overall it would be a nice driver. The car has the 15x8 snowflake wheels from a 1978 trans am. The tires have around 95% tread left on them. The car also has four wheel disk brakes. The body is straight with little rust. The passenger side lower quarter will need to be replaced, has rotted through, please see pictures, but the drivers side is solid. The hood will need some repair in the front were it matches up to the bumper. The frame rails are very nice underneath. There are some dings and dents, but overall a solid car. All the glass is good in the car except for the front windsheild, which is cracked. It is not leaking, but will need to be replaced to drive. There are a few extra parts for the car including the window trim that are inclued in the trunk. Please ask all questions before bidding. The car is being sold as is.
