Vehicle Detail
Car is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. 1989 Camaro Iroc-Z hardtop with manual 5-speed transmission, an extremely rare combination. Burgundy exterior and Dark Gray/Black cloth interior. Car has a rebuilt 305 barely broken in (less than 300mi) from GearHead Engines with 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. Warranty is good through June 2014. New radiator, belts, hoses, and catalytic converter with 5-year 50,000 mile warranty good through July 2016. All professionally installed at Market Auto in San Jose. Close to $7000 in receipts on recent work done. I have owned the car since March 2005 and it still gets complements. Only reason I am selling is because I now have a new Challenger and do not have the funds to finish the Camaro. Interior is in great condition for a 1989. However, there is a tear on the driver's seat very common on these cars and a peeling area of carpet behind the driver seat that could use patching up. After taking care of the underbody rust issue and replacing the springs, you should be able to sell it for a significant profit or use it as a daily driver. The car had a Kelley book value of $1500 when I got it in 2005 and is now up to $4500. It will continue to rise as these cars continue to get more difficult to find. The following is a list of items it will need - Headliner- underbody rust repair- Parking brake repair or adjustment- Tires- Springs- Flowmaster catback exhaust will need welding. The fuel pump was replaced and the exhaust was cut to drop the gas tank. - Patch the carpet behind the driver's seat, re-upholster or patch the driver's seat. - Horn does not work
