A TRUE BARN FIND 1974 Jeep J10 Truck. 4 wheel drive. 6 cylinder engine. Automatic transmission. Automatic locking hubs. Quadratrac. Power Steering. 7 foot bed. This truck is 100% complete. It has not been driven since 1996. No attempts have been made to start the engine. I am not a mechanic and I wanted the purchaser of this truck to handle that in their own way. The engine does turn freely. This truck has only 57,000 original miles. I do not have any documentation to prove that, but I think you will agree from the photos the mileage is correct. The truck is equipped with the factory 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed automatic transmission. I did spray a can of gunk on the engine and spray it off with the waterhose. Virtually no effort was put into cleaning this engine. All of the quadratrac components are in near new condition as you can see in the photos. The glove box is in new condition along with the headliner of the truck. The seat and the floor mat are original. The original jack is behind the seat. The dash is as close to perfect as you will find. The body of the truck does show some rust. Mostly surface rust. The interior of the bed is in outstanding condition. The tailgate is very rusty. Some parts of the exterior of the bed do show both surface rust and a few rust holes. None of it is beyond repair with the exception of the tailgate. I did inspect the floorboards and they are far more solid than any other trucks I have seen like this. The condition of the floorboards are comparable to that of the inside of the bed. The engine fired up immediately with no smoking, knocking, or rattling. The engine idles smoothly without touching the gas pedal.
