Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1951 Ford Coupe. Barn fresh! This car has been in storage since 1969. very complete and very little rust. Look at the photos. This car will come with a clear title, it is not running at this time. This is as good of a car to start with as you could probably find. I took photos under the fenders, behind the park lights, under the floor mats, and in the trunk. There are two small holes under the floor mats maybe as big as a pencil, There does not seem to be any rust out anywhere in the front fenders, bottom of the doors or grill. Under the rocker molding on the passenger side looks like it needs rocker panels. The spare tire well in the trunk is good, not rusted away, and I see no other rust out in the trunk. It has that thick undercoating that was put on from the factory everywhere so it is kind of hard to tell what is there. I looked under the car at the trunk area and all looked real solid, gas tank, frame, body mounts, etc., all look good. The rear wheel well on the drivers side is all good , inner and outer metal. Feels like a small spot like a quarter, on the inner wheel well on the passenger side. There is a small dent in the lower corner of the trunk lid. What ever hit there broke the tail light and bezel on that side but would not be hard to fix. No other dents to speak of in the body. No visible rust out. It has a factory Ford outside sunvisor, no broken glass, a grill gaurd, factory tire jack, new tune up parts in boxes, oil filter, cap, rotor, condenser, plugs, new fuel pump, and tie rod ends. All the dash knobs are there and so are all window cranks, and arm rests. The upholstery does need to be redone but the springs and seat frames are good and not rusty. All of the stainless moldings are there, but the two quarter moldings do have some dents. I have tried to describe things as acurate as I can, but if you need more info please call me at 785-584-6148 ask for Bob. I can keep the car till you come get it or pickup arrangments are made. If you had ever wanted a 1951 Ford Coupe this is a great one to start with , and do it the way you want too!
