Vehicle Detail
1966 Ford Mustang, 289 V-8 We are relisting this vehicle due unforseen circumstances from buyer, that were out of their control! You are bidding on a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe is in good condition for its age. My son bought this car when he was 13 in hopes to restore it for his everyday car, but turning 17 soon he has lost interest in it and is wanting to get a more economical car. First of all this car is “SOLD AS IS, THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES ON THIS CAR”. To tell you a little bit about the car. It is bored .40 over, has a new crank shaft, new rings, new bearings, new oil pump, less than 500 miles on “rebuild”. The odometer reads 82571, but since motor has been rebuilt there is less then 500 miles on it. This also has Elde Brock aluminum heads and 4 barrel and intake, new interior from the seats, carpet, interior paint and fixtures all from Mustangs Unlimited. The car has been painted to a charcoal gray; the original was red with white racing stripes. We took out the old radio and replaced it with a Pioneer CD player and new speakers. Replaced the steering wheel with a GT Grant. But with an antique, it does, however have some small problems that I am sure can be fixed. It leaks around the front window on the passenger’s side we installed new window seals on both front and rear windows after new paint, but the front continues to still leak. IT DOES have rust on the inside bottom of both doors like older mustangs do, but the passenger door is the worst of the two. We did not replace these as I didn’t want to put the extra money into it since my son was not keeping the car. I have included pictures of the doors as I want to include all the information I can to be able to give you a accurate description. There is some rust on the rims, which I have included a photo this time around so you can see. There are a few things we did not get replaced before my son lost interest in this car that you can choose to do, but car is still drivable in the condition it is in now! My husband has been driving it 30 miles one way back and forth to work for the last 2 weeks with no problems at all. New tie rods and bushings in front end. Needs tires and rims are rusty. But still runs and sounds great though! I have included everything I know about this car and even photos of what it looked like before we started the restoration on it, if you have any questions or would like to come take it for a test drive; please feel free to contact me at 256-496-2936 just ask for David and we can set up a time. Please also keep in mind this car is listed locally and the seller has a right to stop the listing at anytime. Good luck and happy bidding! It’s a good deal on a great car. I HAVE TRIED TO UPLOAD ADDITIONAL PHOTOS OF THE RIMS, TRUNK, FRONT FRAME RAILS, FLOOR PANS AND COWL VENTS, BUT FOR SOME REASON EBAY IS NOT LETTING ME UP LOAD THESE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO EMAIL THESE TO YOU I WOULD BE MORE THEN HAPPY TO DO SO, JUST LET ME KNOW. THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF SPRAY FOAM IN THE COWL VENT. IF YOU FEEL THIS MAY HINDER YOU BID THEN YOU CAN RETRACT YOUR BID, WE ASK THAT YOU SEND US AN EMAIL. I AM SORRY THIS WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION, AS I AM A VERY HONEST EBAYER AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY FEEDBACK AND WE HAVE TRIED TO INCLUDE EVERYTHING WE POSSIBLY CAN AND KNOW ABOUT THIS CAR. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS JUST NOTICED TODAY! ***AGAIN, JUST A REMINDER TO ALL BIDDING AND WATCHING THIS ITEM IS FOR SALE LOCALLY AND WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO STOP AUCTION IF CAR SALES LOCALLY!! ****
