Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 Simple, unaltered, and rust free 1988 Suzuki Samurai. I’m the second owner here in Tucson AZ. Bought it as a project, completed it, and now just sits in my garage. MOTOR: Engine was meticulously rebuilt 3.7K miles ago, including new water and oil pump, timing belt/tensioner, all new seals and gaskets, bearings, rings, etc. etc. During the rebuild I also replaced both motor mounts, the transmission mount, and clutch disk/ pressure plate/ bearing. About a month ago I installed new distributor cap, rotor, NGK wires + spark plugs, and EGR valve. The carburetor was fully rebuild and tuned by a trusted local mechanic, it just passed emissions test with outstanding results (see results in one of the pictures). Also has newer air filter and gas filter (Suzuki OEM). DRIVETRAIN: All fluids were replaced after the engine rebuild (both differentials, transmission, and transfer case). Smooth shifting 5-Speed transmission. It easily cruises at 65 MPH (see the video link: http://youtu.be/Bhay3UmIvAA ). 4-Wheel drive system is in perfect working conditions (high/low). Brakes work just fine. EXTERIOR: As expected on a 24 year old vehicle, it has rock chips, scratches, and dings. The original white paint is slightly faded by the AZ sun, specially the hood. Still, after a nice polish and wax, it looks very good for its age. No rust on body or frame. The windshield has a small chip (~1/4 in diameter.), but no cracks. All lights and markers are good and functional. Soft top is ~ 1-1/2 years old. It used to have a custom roof rack (thus the reason for the plugs on the side pillars). I removed the ugly thing and installed the plugs. INTERIOR: The driver seat has several tears. Passenger seat is OK. A set of new seat covers was installed about a month ago. Odometer reads 53354, add 100K to that for sure. All dashboard lights and switches are functional. No A/C (this is a real man’s car…), heater works very well. Radio is the Suzuki original pull-out unit. It works when it feels like it. Never got to that, I enjoyed the sound of the hi-revving little engine. The interior floor is very clean and straight. Absolutely no rust. Feel free to ask any questions. Deposit of US $500.00 within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 7 days of auction close (cash or bank check). I won’t release the vehicle until the check is cleared. Vehicle will stay safely stored in my garage until this happens. Buyer assumes all shipping costs. On Mar-10-12 at 11:41:32 PST, seller added the following information: I have received many messages from bidders (or potential bidders) new to eBay with "Positive feedback: 0% and a Feedback score: 0". I have no problem with that, we all started at zero. I just want to inform that if for any reason I'm not able co complete the sale with the winning bidder (e.g. fails to comply with the set payment terms), I'll offer the vehicle to the next higher bidder(s) using eBay's "second chance offer". eBay's "Buyer Protection" policy will still apply if the "second chance offer" is used. Thanks, Naz
