Vehicle Detail

Here is something that should appeal to alot of auto minder people out there. THis is my 64 Midget Restomod which I have been working on for a little over a year now. I have a custom bike shop here in Texas and right now I need to devote all of my time and effort into other projects and builds. That being said, I am letting my little project go. This is my second Midget to own and I absolutley love them. I also love the vintage Ferrari's, Healey's, and Aston's but I just don't have that kind of money so here is my solution to that. I first found this 64 MG in California, I still have the original black plates for it. The previous owner had done a full 1500 engine swap, rebuilt and ready to rock. It sounds like a beast when running! The only bad thing about it was the clutch was bad when I got it. So... being so eager to start a project, I pulled the engine and decided to do it right! The engine and tranny were checked out, stripped and repainted. New Gaskets throughout, new clutch, clutch slave, Weber carb, Headers, Aluminum radiator, some odds and ends and then bolted them back up. While the engine was out, I made stainless inserts for the engine compartment as well as a stainless battery tray. I opened this all up to make room for the bigger 1500 engine. While this was happening, I also did the body. I welded up all holes and and body lines to make this thing slick. It is sexy for sure. I sectioned and seperated the hood, made a functional ram air scoop, punched louvers, cut a second grill opening and made an aluminum overlay for it. I then took it to my painter for the full treatment up to primer. There is no rust, and this car is smooth! It could park next to any high dollar vintage roadster and fit right in. The original knock offs were blasted and painted and dressed in new tires. The interior was lined and buckets built and covered. I made a wooden dash and hung it with custom dash supports. Moon gauges and and an engine turned panel fill the dash. You also get some extra style points with the vintage brass door knob shifter. A new powdercoated roll bar also keeps it cool and safe out back. Too many cool things on this car. So here is the stage it is in. Honestly, it is about 90% done. There is a new wiring harness ran and resting under the hood. Everything is labeled, this is meant for a clean job. You will need to wire the engine. Everything will be included to make that happen. You will also need to bolt on the engine accesorries like the carb and headers, distributor, alternator. It will run and drive when finished out. I will give all of the parts to the winning bidder. This car ran before the rebuild. I just haven't finished her yet. That is your job. A couple of weekends worth of work and you are cruising in a classy vintage roadster! I love this car and the direction in which It has taken. Right now, I just need to focus my attention on my other builds. Not much work is needed to finish it out. Please feel free to ask me questions. Good luck to everyone. Thank You,
