Vehicle Detail

A beautifully restored and modified 56 Chevy 3100 Truck. Guards RED with a grey, red and black interior. Completely gone over and well done with newer paint, new interior and recent engine and transmission. A truly beautiful truck that shows well, runs very well and is a blast! She has a Camaro sub frame with a newer Chevy 350 engine (Four Barrel Carb on an Eldebrook aluminum manifold, Tubular Headers and Aluminum Valve Covers) and a newer 350 transmission, power front disk brakes, power steering with an adjustable steering wheel, brand new tires and wheels. I purchased this truck about a year ago for $26,000 from a collectible car dealer in North Florida. The truck was in very good condition but only about 80% completed. Since then, I have had the truck completely gone over by a local mechanic and have addressed any issues found. I would say that she is now 95% complete but all mechanical issues were corrected, many new parts have been installed and a complete renovation of the interior has been completed. New Mechanical Items include: New BF Goodrich T/A P275/60R15 tires; New Pacer Chrome Wheels with lugs and caps; New Front Rotors, Brake Pads, bearings and seals; New Rear Drums, Brake Shoes and seals; New Front Shocks; New Brake Lines; New Master Cylinder and Power Brake Booster; New Steering Links and Bushings; New Engine and Trans mounts; New Battery and Cables; New Front and Rear Lift Kits (Which can be easily removed if you prefer the "low rider" look); Complete Tune up including Plugs, Cap and Wires; New Oil and Filter, Transmission Fluid and Filter and Rear End Oil; New Exhaust System with Thrush Mufflers and 3" Chrome Tips; New Complete and Updated Wiring Harness and Fuse Block. New Cosmetic Items include: all New Cab Glass with New Rubber and Seals; New Front Bumper Guards; New Exterior Mirrors, Arms and Gaskets; New Hood Emblem; New Front Turn Signals, Gaskets and Harnesses; New Rear Taillights, Brackets and Harnesses; New License Plate Bracket with Light and Harness; New Tailgate Chains and Rubber Sleeves; New Door Locks, Ignition Switch and Glove Box Lock, all keyed the same; New Steering Wheel with horn button; New Instrument Cluster; New AM/FM Radio in the Original Style with Hidden Antenna; New Front Cab Panels with Built In Speakers; New Headlight, Wiper, Ignition Switches; New Dimmer Switch; New Chrome Throttle, Choke and Vent Knobs with New Cables; New Glove Box Can and Lock; New Vent Window Handles; New Rear View Mirror and Bracket; New Interior Light; New Interior Window and Door Handles; New Armrests; New Gas Pedal and Throttle; New Visors and Arms; New Wiper Motor (2 Speed); New Headliner and Retainer; New Seat belts; New Carpet; New Floor Insulation; New Firewall Pad; New Horns and Relay; New Cab and Bed Mounts and Bolts; New Custom Leather "Bomber Seat"; and probably more items that I have forgotten to list. THESE PARTS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE BUT THE MONEY HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT FOR YOU. YOU CAN PAY LESS FOR A 56 CHEVY TRUCK BUT IT WILL NOT HAVE THE NEW EXPENSIVE PARTS THAT MAKE THIS ONE SO SPECIAL AND COMPLETE. Engine has been modified with a fairly aggressive cam so she sounds mean. Engine and transmission are smooth and show no problems whatsoever. Overall condition is very good to excellent. She drives very well, sounds great and looks fantastic. I had two Aluminum Stake Body panels made for advertising purposes at a cost of $650.00. These panels come with the truck but are easily removed (they just slide out of the stake sleeves and are not mechanically fastened in place). The last photo shows the truck without the panels and also prior to raising the truck from it's lowered position. Also included in the sale is a new auxiliary electric fan for the radiator that has not been installed, a new windshield shroud not installed and a complete set of stainless steel cab trims (normally seen on the Deluxe cab) which have not been installed. Use them or sell them...it is about $600.00 in new parts. Also included are several Factory Repair Manuals, a CD with the same information. Also included are several boxes of new and old parts. The Guards Red paint is wonderful and I would say at least an 8.5/10. The interior is fresh and well done. This truck runs and drives very well and people smile, honk and wave when they see her out and about. THIS IS A VERY NICE RESTOMOD THAT YOU WILL BE PROUD TO DRIVE. I have invested about $14,000 in new replacement items and mechanical work on this truck and many hours of my own time. When you add my my investment and costs to date, this truck is about $40,000 in value not including my own time. Most of the work and expense is in the past so the BUYER WILL BE WAY AHEAD OF THE GAME. The cost to restore one of these collectible trucks is high AND ALL OF THE HARD WORK IS COMPLETED...FINISH UP SOME SMALL ITEMS AND YOU ARE FINISHED. If you bought a less expensive truck and put the same amount of work into it, you can spend upwards of $45,000 easily. SAVE YOURSELF MAJOR TIME, AGGRAVATION AND MONEY! There is not much needed to complete this project but as a full discloser I will list the items that need to be completed: The Horn, Relays and Wiring are all new but the horn does not work; The Radio, Speakers and Wiring are new but have not been hooked up yet; The Electric Wiper Motor and Wiring is new but have not been hooked up yet; the hidden powered Antenna is new but not hooked up yet; the Seat belts are new but have not been installed yet; the Speedometer works but is inaccurate; the Temperature Gauge does not work but a brand new stock gauge is included in the sale. While this truck is very well done, has many, many new parts and a lot of money and time invested...she is not perfect but a beautiful 56 year old collectible truck. I have attempted to be specific and clear but there is no warranty or guarantee offered for this vehicle. However, you will not be disappointed in this fine vehicle. I have run out of time and interest for this project but this is a GREAT TRUCK and someone can easily complete her and own a nicely and completely done 56 Chevy truck. Additional photos can be taken at your request. You can also request my phone number through eBay if you want to ask specific questions. I reserve the right to end the auction early as she is for sale locally. Please contact me before bidding if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING...GREAT TRUCK HERE LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME!
