Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Beautifully Restored 1968 Pony Ford Mustang Convertible ( Conv ) – Classic! and Original! REDUCED TO SELL - MUST SELL - NO RESERVE @ $1,000 Up for sale is a beautiful 1968 Ford Mustang Convertible. This is the first of a collection of vehicles I will be listing for sale. All Vehicles MUST SELL, so make sure to bid early as I also have them up for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if I receive an offer. She is priced to sell. I am selling this car for my father, and the car is located at his house, so apologies that some of the pictures are at nighttime and a bit blurry. I tried to switch to a camera that had a better flash, so hopefully they are detailed enough to see. If you need any further pictures taken or up close shots, please let me know and I can try to get them for you. I’ve tried to get every angle and disclose all the imperfections. This car is in fabulous shape and the pictures don’t do her any justice. I highly recommend a visit to come see the car if it is possible. Car has always been garaged and kept in a secure environment. I’ve tried to list as many things as I could, but I’m sure I have forgotten things, so feel free to email me or call at any time. -289 Pony Engine (From my understanding there is about 11k miles on it since the rebuild) -3-Speed Transmission -Car is straight as an arrow. Lines are all straight and gaps are very nicely aligned. -Power Top – Works great (plastic rear view window) -New Glass all around – no cracks -Vehicle as always been garaged / covered -All new chrome in excellent condition -Functional Horn works -Power top works great -Deluxe black carpeting and headliner and door panels -Weather stripping new and in good shape -Belts in engine bay are all new with no cracks I had eBay InspectMyRide do a full inspection in which it received 5 out of 5 stars and a “Very Good” on all categories. I can send you the full report upon request. Engine runs strong and solid. She sounds great! I did notice a little bit of smoke come out of the exhaust when you first start her up, but that goes away after she warms up. (This is NOT blue or dark black smoke, but just a bit of white/grey smoke and most likely due to her not being driven for a while). Body is in fantastic shape with no rust – California Car. The car is a blast to drive and runs great. She starts right up (see video), drives straight and sounds great (see other video). This vehicle is beautiful and looks gorgeous, I can’t stress that enough. That said, I tried to go through the vehicle with a fine tooth and comb and these were the imperfections I found. (I tried to show these in the images) -Driver side door sill has a few scuff marks -Driver side rear bumper has a small dent about the size of a quarter. This is not noticeable unless you get up close and look at it from the ground. When standing above the vehicle, this is not noticeable at all. -Small black mark on passenger side fender. This has not gone through the paint and it actually might be able to be buffed out, but I haven’t messed with it yet. I’m assuming this was from somebody opening their door at a car show or on a Sunday drive. -On the underside of the vehicle there appears to be some screws popping out, underneath the driver seat. This doesn’t cause any issues or problems, but I noticed it while getting under the car to take pictures. -Windows meet the convertible top: This is not a perfect match and there is a bit of overlap. This isn’t a problem other than the fact if you were being judged in a show; you would lose a point or two. (I attached pics from above and below to show this.) -Original steering wheel is a bit faded. I do have a nice Lecarra Steering I could possibly offer with the vehicle. It is missing the turn signals on the hood for the driver to see (GT style upgrade only) *See image I looked over the car pretty thoroughly and could not find any rust anywhere. From my understanding all the fenders are original on the car, but the floor plans were replaced to remove the rust during the restoration process. This is a solid and very straight classic Mustang. Vehicle is Sold As Is. I’ve done my best to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability and disclose all blemishes and imperfections. Vehicle is offered locally which gives me the right to end the auction at any time.
