Vehicle Detail

1985 Monte Carlo 65,677 Original miles 305 V8 Carbureted Automatic Transmission with overdrive Air Conditioning Original paint Mechanically sound and VERY clean 2 New Tires 2 almost new tires THE STORY I obtained this car in 2004 from a little old Lady who did not even drive the car on Sundays. Her husband had bought the car brand new in 1985 and was his prized position until his unfortunate death around 2002. She never obtained her drivers license and was afraid to move the car. Her handyman started up the car every few weeks to keep the battery fresh and everything moving. I heard about the car through family, described only as an older Chevy. When I drove out to look at the car it was sitting in the garage coved with blankets and carpet remnants (she was deathly afraid her cats where going to scratch it) the old Chevy turned out to be this low mile 1985 Monte Carlo. CONDITION I have put the last 18,000 miles on the car. There have been no major mechanical problems in my seven years of ownership. Recently I had the oil changed the transmission and cooling system flushed and new battery installed. The car runs stops and starts great. Sometimes it "diesals" for a few seconds when you turn it off. Im sure it just needs a slight carburator or timing adjustment. The body is very clean, for seeing 26 years of service it looks fantastic. The car has a few small door and trunk dings. Unfortunately the car was a victim of a light love tap to the passengers ¼ panel and door edge. (See pictures) I work in the collision industry, and it is an easy fix. I just never had the heart to touch the original paint, The interior has looks and smells great. There is a small mystery hole in the drivers side of the seat ( Its was there when I bought the car) , I’m unsure how it got there due to the original owner did not smoke. Car is 90% original. There is an aftermarket pioneer CD player and 2 inch front lowering springs. I still have the original AM / FM Radio that works great. I also have 2 of the original hubcaps ( great shape) http://youtu.be/XB9iy5dgsGo http://youtu.be/o6giJ_K4mUU http://youtu.be/ZuL_CvaImroOn Mar-02-12 at 13:48:48 PST, seller added the following information: Im happy to say ive loacted the origonal window sticker from the delaer.
