2002 Eddie Bauer for sale NO RESERVE. I bought this car new for my wife. It's a none smoker and has never been recked not even a small fender bender. The vehicle is clean not perfect but clean. It does have a few minor issues 1. the passenger back windows cable broke, the window is up but it has been unplugged 2. there is crack in the hatch if you look at pictures pretty standard for this year explorer 3. the paint on each side of the hood has bubbled and pealed, this is a aluminum hood so it's not rust. What happens is the water gets behind the paint from under hood and causes it to blister. The size of the spots are only 3''x3'' and they have not gotten any bigger in 2 years, again pretty standard for this year check out the pictures of that also. There is 1 big issue, as it started making some lifter noise so I took it in to my mechanic and he said the timing chain need to be replaced. I already have a new vehicle so this needs to go fast. Someone who can do some mechanic work could fix this up and have a nice ride. It runs and drives fine it's just making some noise mostly when you start it. Everything else works perfect except the few things I mentioned. It also has key less entry. The back tires are about 1 year old and the fronts are fine maybe about another year left on them to be safe. It sound as if something has come apart inside. It runs but all the sudden there's load clinging noise like a broken rocker or push rod i'm not sure what it is. There is no oil leaking out anywhere and it runs but who ever purchases this needs to trailer it. It's being sold AS IS.
