Clear title in hand. Time to move out some toys, we’re buying a house and some things unfortunately have to go. I’ll have a 1965 Mustang 289 w/ factory air for sale in a couple weeks :-( Just woken up from a 12 year slumber, this Volvo P1800 ES estate wagon has clear title and runs with 184k miles and has the desirable 4 speed overdrive transmission. It also has factory or dealer installed A/C and comes with service records too. Body The body was cosmetically restored about 15 years ago and has been garage kept with the last 12 years being in indoors storage. Body is straight with localized rust in normal places around the wheelwells, but otherwise it is good everywhere else. Original trim pieces are intact and straight with only normal bumper dings. The spare tire cargo area is dusty and rust free. Many new rubber seals are included because the windshield seal does need to be replaced as water comes past during washings and rain storms. The clear coat is peeling on the top side so expect to clearcoat the car after the paint is buffed out to bring back the shine. 2 snow tires on original P1800ES rims are included along with the 4 original tires from 1973. I can send pictures of the undercarriage upon request but give me time to source a lift. Interior The interior is in stock condition but showing its 40 year age. The front seats look original and are still pillowy soft although this car has some miles on it so the leather does need reconditioning and dying to bring back the brightness. The back seats look original and are in good condition for the age. Dashpad is cracked so that will need to be replaced. Glass is all good and intact. Carpet is good with no wear tears. A good detail with the seats removed will do wonders for the interior. Mechanical The car starts every time hot or cold which is pretty good for having sat for so long and does not leak any oil. I drained the old gas and pressurized the oil system before starting it up but I haven’t cleaned the grease and dust off the engine yet or detailed it. The car didn’t start initially so we have the fuel pump temporarily wired to 12v constant because either the fuel pump relay or relay wiring is bad. The fuelpump fuse in the fusebox is good with 12v power before and after the fuse so it has to be that. The heater core leaked when I first started it so I ordered a new heater core and installed a heater core bypass kit in the meantime and then never had the time to install the new heater core which is included with the car. Radiator coolant is good but we suspect a stuck thermostat as the car reaches operating temperature and continues to climb; local area test drives are welcomed if you visit to inspect the car. The car comes with the original air conditioning unit still hooked up but no fanbelt. Heater fan and windshield wipers work, clock works, etc. Auction terms Currently licensed, clear title in hand, call if you're local to check it out, otherwise feel free to have a reputable third party inspect the car for you. Your new P-1800 is located in Seattle, WA 98144 and I would prefer the winner to pick up the car with a trailer or have your shipper pick it up but if you need some time to arrange shipping after you win it I'll store your new car for a couple weeks with full payment until you can come get it or arrange shipping.
