1965 Chevrolet CHEVY II Nova - 6 cylinder Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge Click to Enlarge This has been my every-day car for 3 years. My intentions were to get it painted, and keep it running. I am a novice mechanic, and I learned as I went along. But I am giving up. New Carberator 2010 Radiatior Re-cored 2009 Interior Seats/Carpets/door skins - replaced 2010 New Heater Core - 2009 Floor repaired and in good shape. * If you would like additional photos sent, specify area and contact me. Here's why I am throwing in the towel... The lifters in the engine started tapping a lot. I tried adjusting the rocker arms, and only made it worse. It started stalling out, and i took it off the road. It has sat sinse last September, and I am having trouble getting it started again. It sounded like it was going to turn over when I charged the battery and primed the carb, but after trying throughout the day it is now doing nothing. I'm not sure if I fried the points ...battery... iginition. I only know it is not starting, and even if I did get it started I was not really sure how I was going to fix the way it was running. Some people suggested valve jobs... new piston rings...etc. But internal engine repair is beyond my understanding, and I can't send it in to the shop because I'm affraid of what the bill might be. So I am offering this car AS IS... currently not running. Here are the known problems of the car. (besides the problems mentioned above). Windshield wipers are not working. Horn not working, Two of the valve cover screws have snapped heads, and the screws need to be removed and replaced, muffler and back end of exhaust are newer, but are being held in place by a wire hanger to pull it away from the drive shaft. (the muffler was rubbing against the drive shaft occasionaly... solved problem with a hanger... to give an idea of just how novice a mechanic I am). leaks oil and tranny fluid.. not a ton... but it leaves a small oil drip where it's parked, and I find tranny fluid on the pan. Interior headliner is there...but stitched together and has some gashes and holes... functional, but could use replacing. The carberator is new, but didn't have the screw stem for the air-cleaner that the original carberator had. (I am slightly embarassed to say I got by by holding the air cleaner on with a rubber bungee cord.) One headlight is out. Passenger side rear quater panel is dented in at wheel well (see pics) The body and frame are in good shape with no major rot or rust. There is some spots of rust showing here an there, but nothing terrible. A great starting point for a restoration project. ODOMETER flipped over 100,000 in the years I drove the car. No idea how many times it may have flipped before that. (had to enter a numerical value to list, so I entered 200,000 Glass is all in good shape. Engine compartment in great shape. Drum breaks worked great when last on road. I will be happy to answer any questions I can, or provide pictures. I loved this car, and I am sorry to see it go. But go it must. Buyer to fund and arrange all transportation of vehicle. Car is being sold as is, and payment via cashier's check must be received within 5 days of auction's end. see item description Paypal or Postal MO accepted .. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR COPY!
