DESCRIPTION:
Our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd is a very nice, loaded-up (SEE THE "FEATURES & OPTIONS" SECTION BELOW FOR DETAILS) 4X4 that will make a great vehicle once the engine is replaced. If you are mechanically inclined and have a replacement 4.7L, V8 engine or can get one cheap and install it yourself then this is the Jeep for you. Everything except the engine itself seems to be in good mechanical condition. This Jeep drives excellent and is a very comfortable ride. Everything works electronically except for the battery (weak) and the front audio system tweeter speakers (they buzz with heavy bass music). The tweeters sound fine unless the bass is loud.
Cosmetically, the interior looks great with only the following issues: the outside side-bolsters of both front seats have a small area of leather wear and tear (see pic below), there are no front floor mats, a couple of the A/C vents are broken, the interior needs a good detailing to remove pet hair in hidden areas (there is no animal or smoke smell inside), the steering wheel dye is worn and the padding in the wheel is worn too, there is no CD changer magazine, the rubber bumpers under the center armrest are missing (see pic below) the door sills are scratched, and the headliner has a few tiny dirt spots. That's it for interior blemishes. All very minor and easily fixed.
Outside, the paint looks great from 10+feet away and it shines brightly. Any closer than 10ft and you begin to see some small chips and scratches here and there. The body is straight and rust free and the paint has good gloss and color (its a greenish gray color). The alloy wheels look good, but do have some clearcoat scratches and chips. The Goodyear Eagle LS tires look good and have about 40% of their tread-life remaining. The glass looks great all around. The exterior paint blemishes are: Multiple tiny chips on the front bumper and grille, dull/frosted headlight lenses, several chips and scratches on the hood, a few tiny chips on the left front fender, small chips on the left side door (especially the rear door), a few tiny chips and scratches on the left 1/4 panel, tiny scratches and chips on the rear bumper, the rear hatch looks good, tiny chips on the right 1/4 panel, a few tiny chips and clear coat issue on the right side doors, and a couple tiny chips and scratches on the right front fender. That's it for exterior blemishes. Most of the paint blemishes could be touched-up and they would look much better. None of the paint issues are bad and most are not noticeable except upon close inspection.
That pretty much describes the good and not so good of our 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4X4 with Quadra-Drive. Nothing except the engine is a real problem and overall this is one nice Jeep. It is definitely worth replacing the engine especially if you can do the work yourself. This Jeep is selling with NO RESERVE so BID NOW and BID OFTEN or better yet, make us a reasonable "BUY IT NOW" offer and end this auction today!
