Vehicle Detail
Up for sale here is a Very Nice 1968 Pontiac GTO with a 400 V-8 and a automatic transmission. It has been very nicely restored and is very drivable. It comes with the dual gate shifter, vinyl top, factory tachometer, am radio, vinyl bucket seats, American Racing wheels with BF Goodrich T/A Radials (P275/50R15 rear and P235/60R15 front) that are very close to being new. The motor has had an Edelbrock intake and 4bl carb, MickeyThompson valve covers, headers and a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner added to it. This car is very very clean and just about showroom condition. The paint has been done well and shines very bright. The chrome all shines and is not pitted. The interior is as about as flawless as you can find including the dash and carpet. Everything about this car is nice. The only flaws that I can find are, the rear spoiler is missing (the mounting holes are in the trunk deck), the right front trim ring around the headlight cover has not been refinished and is not mounted, the left headlight cover will not close all the way (usually a vac line problem), the headliner has a few wrinkles in it but not torn or anything like that (should only need to be remounted, the material is fine) and there is a hole in the left rear wheel wheel that is visible in the trunk and behind the wheel. There is also one very small 1/4 inch cut on the vinyl top that you will have to search hard for to find. I have seen no dust in the paint, rust anywhere other than that one wheel well, no rust in the door jambs or under the doors, no dents or scratches, glass is all good, the rubber seals are all in very good condition as well. Someone has done a very nice job with this. The previous owner has been registering the car since 1997 and has always had it stored indoors. I have just one set of keys and no manuals for it. This is a very nice GTO and will certainly turn a lot of heads. This is an auction with a very reasonable reserve on it so don't miss out on it. We are a dealer and we do need to charge Indiana Sales Tax of 7% and we do also charge a 150.00 documentation fee as well. You will receive a Indiana Sales Tax for ST-108 that proves to your state that you paid the sales tax here. In turn your state will charge Indiana the sales tax that they need. You do not have to pay sales tax twice. Contact your BMV/DMV if you have any questions about this. The only way that you don't pay sales tax is if we have it delivered to you by a third party carrier. We don't make the laws but we must abide by them in order to stay in business. We do require a 500.00 deposit via Pay Pal within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance due within 7 days of auctions end via, cash, bank wire transfer or bank certified funds. After the funds clear the title will be released to you. You can take the car with you when you pay though. If you would like to fly in and drive it home we can help you with transportation from Indianapolis International Airport Monday-Friday 9AM to 3PM Eastern Time. If you have any questions please email me or just give me a call.
