Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my 1966 Cortina GT, I have put many hours of work and thousands of dollars getting this car back on the road, but I ran out of money and would like it to go to home where it will hopefully get restored. This car is a real GT it is not a fake to the best of my knowledge about Cortinas' It has all the options you would expect a GT to have. The car was originally a baby blue with a dark blue/light blue interior. Somewhere along the way it was painted like a Lotus. Someone also parted out another Gt and put some black interior pieces inside the car. It is a very solid car considering its age and make, it does have a rust hole on the driverside where the front bumper would mount, this rust hole is about 2 inches across on the frame rail. The other area of concern are the insides of the rocker panels under the car they are rusted about halfway to a 1/3 back. That being said that is the only major areas of concern; I have seen american muscle cars with far more rust issues than this car. The floorpans are solid the trunk floor is solid and the rear wheel wells are solid. The strut towers have been repaired with new metal as the rust was minimal. The car has a GT motor in it and runs great! It still has the factory header, intake and carb. It has the original 2000E gearbox in it as well. As for the work I've done to it it has had many parts replaced or rebuilt. I just spent $430 dollars having the radiator completely rebuilt. The master cylinders and slave cylinders have been rebuilt. It has new brake hoses on the front with a new brake hose waiting to be installed on the rear. It has a rebuilt wheel cylinder, new clutch hose, it has new minilite style wheels on it, new plug wires, the gas tank has be cleaned and lined. New clutch and pressure plate, All new polyurethane front suspension parts, all new tie rods inner and outer, a NOS idler arm, new ball joints, new strut inserts and strut mounts. New hoses and belts new battery. It is a complete running an driving car, I drove it around all summer and fall in 2011. It has a few parts that don't work such as the heater core leaks, the Tach and horn isn't wired up, and the fuel gauge has a grounding problem. That being said this car could be driven as it is being worked on as it has been quite reliable for me considering it age. The car is a true survivor. This car does need a complete restoration and is a running driving work in progress it is being sold as is given its age. This car also comes with many spare parts, such as but not limited to, front and rear bumpers a extra rear axle and carrier, spare strut tubes, disks, drum backing plates, front windshield and back glass, chrome trim, gauges, gauge pods, turn signal lenses, tailights. I have a youtube video further showing the Cortina, contact me and I will send you the link. The video and pictures were taken in the summer and doesn't show the new radiator. I wouldn't sell this car if I had the room for it and the money as it is a rare survivor.
