I purchased this car when it was two years old from the Volvo dealer when it had about 25,000 miles on it. It has served me well over the years and we just don’t have room to keep it. It runs well, is reliable, looks great and has ice cold air. I’ve consistently had it serviced, it has a clean title, good tires, never been wrecked, power seats, CD, cassette. It has all the safety that you expect in a Volvo. That being said, here is what doesn’t work: 1. Four months ago in October the odometer stopped working and most of the warning lights came on and stayed on. Then the warning lights went off and the odometer started running again for about a month and then stopped at 259,159 miles. If I had to guess it probably has 263,000 or 264,000 highway miles on it. 2. For some reason if the car is parked on an incline the gear shift won’t move out of park. When you park the car, you must put it in neutral, set the emergency and then put it in park. If you forget I usually get someone to push on the back or just set in the seat and rock it and when you relieve pressure off the car the gear shift will move. I had a mechanic tell me that it’s just a loose cable and is an easy repair but I never had it done. 3. It leaks a little oil. Must be around a gasket because I never see any on the driveway. I put about a quart in every 2,000 miles or so. 4. The leather on the driver’s seat and on the center armrest is torn. See photos. 5. The passenger side electric windows don’t work. The driver’s side is slow, the one behind the driver’s side works fine. One out of four is not bad : ). 6. Power door lock on the passenger side doesn’t work but it will lock manually. 7. Interior panel of the passenger’s side door is coming loose (probably related to the power door lock not working). See photo. 8. There is no heat. There was a leak and hey this is Florida so I just had it capped off. 9. Some of the paint coding is coming off the trunk. Also there are some bugs on the front bumper. See photos. 10. The gas cap is fine but the spring that holds the gas cover down is missing so when you go around a turn it can swing open. This car has a lot of life left in it and will get you where you need in style. If you have any questions please ask. I require a nonrefundable deposit of $300 within 12 hours of the auction ending.
