Vehicle Detail
This is a great project, I have been collecting pieces for about 7 years and it is about 95% complete. I had planed on building what was refered to as a street racer in the 50s, cycle front fenders, headlights on stands, no hood sides, etc. but now that I'm retired and have time, arthriris has taken it's toll. Driveline is all mgb, 5 main engine, transmission, rear end, and front susp. I have a ww BGT rear axel on which the spring pads have been moved and also ww B front spindles, front shocks and midget tie rods which need to be installed. The engine came out of a nice running B and turns over well with good compression. Engine and trans. mounts were professionally done, frame needs to be changed to a double hydraulic system and I have both A and B components to do this. The frame is in nice condition with no damage or appreciable rust and still has the stock susp pieces installed. The body is in very good condition with only minor surface rust and solid wood with the exception of the dash piece and I have a replacement for it. Floor boards are rough cut and will need finish cutting. Rear fenders are glass repos and front are glass cycle style. Seats are early B and are in useable shape and I also have a set of tan seat covers and the bottom pieces but not the seat back or springs. Also have some interior panels but not a complete set (good for patterns). There are no guages for the car but I have the guage panel. The pieces that I know I don't have are driveshaft, windshield glass, side curtains, top altho I have a nice top frame, and guages. I do have the hood sides and one rear side cutain which I was going to use for a pattern. I also have both 15 and 14 inch wire wheels for the car and the tires that are on it are new Sieberling radials. Thhis is a project which will require some fabrication and a fair amount of work but I think it will be worth it . This will be hard to ship because of the number of large loose parts so it will need to picked up in Las Vegas, New Mexico which is right off I-25 about 60 miles east of Santa Fe. I can possibly deliver up to 200 miles for $.80 a loaded mile but please check with me first. I have a clean title for this in my name. Please e-mail questions, I'm sure I've left things out. Please bid responsibly. Thank you.
