Vehicle Detail
Ok To all the people whom were interested, I upped the start price to the previous auctions reserve price. so this is now a no reserve auction. I do not have facilities to store it so it must go before it gets damaged in the weather. This is a 1972 vw flat windshield superbeetle that has been extensively modified. I had to remove it from the shop it was in and now it sits on my trailer. It has almost a 5 inch chop done very tastefully, has safety glass windshield cut and fitted. have stock uncut and one piece door side glass to go with it, 90% of the bodywork has been done it has a few small pencil eraser size areas which need to be addressed. A pillars and heater channel are very solid, this car was not a rot box, started with a solid body. It has brand new creative car craft extra wide fiberglass fenders with brand new glass over headlamps the fenders alone cost over $800. Doors open effortlessly, real nice gaps, shaved handles, gas door and vents. the car is body and fenders only, almost gutted but has wiring harness, steering column and fuel tank. This is a chopped top car! it is not a perfect chop but better than most, very respectful workmanship, Labor cost approximately $4000. please ask questions for specific info. delivery can be arranged to the Ocala area and South. I do not have the front hood but It does come with a stock engine cover in good condition (not pictured) the body was on a rack when chopped, the doors open perfectly and they have great gaps, it will bolt onto any 1968 thru 1977 beetle or superbeetle chassis. the regular beetle chassis will need the beam spaced forward one inch. if you know vws, body swaps are very easy. the chop is the extremely difficult and time consuming part. I can mount it on a wheeled dolly so it can be picked up with a roll back, flat bed type of tow vehicle.
