Up for auction is this 1981 chevrolet elcamino. It belonged to a local person who used it for transportation off and on but also used to race it at the drags on weekends. The original color was light blue with dark blue interior.Originally had a 305 V-8 auto trans, ps,pb. The prior owner had it painted black and installed a hot 1971 buick 455 V-8, headers, dual exhaust, edelbrock performer buick 455 alum intake with turbo 400 trans . Newly built 66 chevelle 10 bolt posi traction rear end 343 ratio with adjustable links and traction bars and drive shaft loop, air shocks. Some where along the line a bearing was spun in the motor . Motor still turns free. They started to unbolt parts to pull the engine . Not long after the prior owner passed away. The car was stored away just as you see it now. I have all the parts that were removed and will be included in the auction. Also have the heavy duty radiator . The original hood will be included also the MickeyThompson street slicks mounted on the same type wheels . The body on this car is in above average condition, solid fenders ,doors, rockers inner and outer, quarters ,bed ,tailgate etc. Frame is in exceptional shape which is very hard to find. Floors and braces are real nice with the exception of the back floor tubs being cut down and welded flat. The only reason i see that this was done was to make room for mounting the exhaust the way they have it . Could be left just the way it is or if your fussy you could weld in a pair of new pans. Interior is all intact but would probably need to be redone. The tires are new dunlop Gt qualifiers . P235-60R-15 up front and P265 -50R-15 on the rear. This would be a good project to build this winter and could easily have it ready for spring. Selling at NO RESERVE high bidder wins it . Please be serious in your bidding .
