Second owner past 32 yrs. Always indoor storage in northern CA area & non-smoker enviroment.. Fuel guage, not accurate. Outer body decals can be removed with heat gun. Color code: body is blue. Interior is blue with grey trim, all vinyl. Exterior paint is 95% original & interior 100% original and good. Brake system = superb. Steering = prompt & direct. 2 complete sets of keys. 1997 replacement engine at 68,000 miles by Swedish Auto Factory, Santa Clara, CA. Prior to 2009 daily driver; current CA. DMV is non-op but an easy new registration. Tachometer column mounted. Photo display shows all items included with purchase except for fire extinguisher: factory tools, original spare tire & wheel. original jack with handle assembly, original owners manual & other literature inside the glove box, factory replacement fan belt (Ed Swart package), original snow/mud tire chains in original bag, two original Saab dial indicator, one NOS never used head gasket and "On the Roof" book by Erik Carlson. All tools & spares with original storage bags & 15 correct used spark plugs exit with purchase. Both metal bound books are English text. SAAB high M oil can unopened; SAAB & logo grease cartride unopened. ENGINE: Manuel 4 speed. 1997 Swedish Auto Factory started with NOS engine block, bored 40 thnds installed new JAHNS alloy pistons, new wrist pins & rings, new Bud Clark crank assembly, machined and matched all ports, new high performance exhaust system, Pertronix electronic ignition and coil, electric fuel pump. 2008 new Napa 75 battery with kill switch. 2010 starter was overhauled. 2011 Carbs & clutch cylinder (2) overhauled. Has original Vinter Zummer air cleaner. DRIVE TRAIN: 1999 converted front drum brakes to V4 disc brake set up; new drive axels and boots and front wheel cylinders. Front shocks replaced "gas" & HD front springs. Original parts retained and will exit with purchase. Manual free wheeling: good working order. WHEELS & TIRES: original wheels; 4 excellent Dunlop tires. Spare tire: original with vinyl cover under rear seat. HUB CAPS: all 4 mint condition. EXTERIOR: all bright metal trim units & bumpers = good & no rust. All lights work, no cracks; 3 front driving lights have screens. All body glass & rubber seals original; windshield has rock ding in the rear view (dash mount) mirror area. Paint all original except right front fender redone by original owner; basically good condition for the original 73,000 miles. Under carriage & frame: no rust / damage. Original locking gas cap. Rear back-up lights installed= non functional, issue unknown. "SAAB" license plates, 3 in total: white reflective and one original blue plate included. INTERIOR: Hood latch good working order with a new unit (spare) included. Clock; not working. Original radio: good & works. Dash smooth black vinyl shows recovering over original. Steering wheel: original, no cracks & blue leather cover. All guages work except "fuel" (it always shows "full"). All interior light work. All handles & knobs, original & work well. Rear vents: open & close well. Rear air-foil system works well. UPHOLSTERY: original rear quarter panels show UV discoloring, rear facing seat show minor UV affects, rear back rest has partial spare tire imprint, rear cushion=good condition, passenger bucket seat is all original showing minor cracks in cushion only, driver bucket has vinyl replacement inserts; forward/backward moving mechanism works awkward henceforth new mechanism part is included with purchase. Front seat belts: non original. FLOORING: carpet over original rubber mats. Hand pulls (rubber) are original & good. Headliner & Visors: all original & good; clean & no tears (all stitching good). Rear padded header =good original condition. Under dash front air vent handle works; glove box & side pockets (on kick panels) good. Rear seat quarter panels and arm rests= origtinal and perfect condition. Basically: all UPHOLSTERY, original excet drivers front bucket seat unit. Keep in thought: vehicle is 45 years old; no warranty expressed / implied! Sold as is. Vehicle available for viewing during auction time. No shipping provided.
