Vehicle Detail
goldengunman Store 1954 JAGUAR MkVII sedan, automatic. This car has been in a barn since 1973, it is mainly complete, and is very restorable. The fender skirts are present,as is all the chrome and interior. The seats are in really decent condition, but grubby. The door cards are here as well as the toolkit boxes, but sadly no tools. There is very little rust, but some evidence of bondo repairs in the distant past. From what I can make out, the car would have originally left the factory as a black car with red interior. It has had a couple of colour changes in it's life, and presently sits in what I think is grey primer. Everything needs to be gone through, I have not started the car, but the motor seems free,(not seized). There are very few of the MkVII sedans left out there, and yet this car was the progenitor of the famous JAGUAR branded sedans that followed.3.4 litre inline 6, twin SU carbs, mated to a DG250 automatic transmission. The chassis seems very solid and realistically shouldn't cost a fortune to bring back to the road.I am listing the car with a NO RESERVE, but starting it at what I think is a very realistic starting price. The headlights are the original LUCAS PF 770s and are in wonderful condition. If I parted this car out, with all the parts in common with the XK120 sports, I could probably more than double the starting price. I happen to believe that there will be some people out there that, like me, think this car is worth restoring. If it wasn't for all my other projects, I would do the car myself. Please don't expect a running driving car, make no mistakes, this car needs completely going over and restoring, but well worth it in the end. When was the last time you saw one of these cars on the road?If you want to know more, or if you want further pictures, please contact me through the eBay website.Good Luck!
