Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my Jeep Wrangler. It is a 1990 with a 1991 motor installed in 2000 when the old motor had 155,000 on it. New motor in good shape and runs well. 2.5 liter throttle body fuel injection with a 5 speed manual transmission and a heavy duty slip yoke eliminator transfer case. The rear drive line is CV joint and the rear end has been tilted to match up the lift. Lifted 4 inches with 35 inch tires. Has not been registered for years and to do so in California would cost a lot. I have the pink slip and can provide a bill of sale. This will be sold out of state or as a parts vehicle only. Pick up and shipping is up to the buyer. It passed smog the last time I registered it and nothing has been done to any smog equipment since - so - I assume it will pas - but - I will not be responsible for that - hence the sale as parts or out of state. On Feb-07-12 at 17:14:57 PST, seller added the following information: It has come to my attention that I left out a few words and that changed the meaning some what. Where I wrote " New motor in good shape and runs well " - I meant to write " The new motor is in good shape and always did run well " . I guess I was trying to minimize the words and not bore everyone to death. I wanted to convey and elaborate here - This vehicle has been sitting for years - it is sold as parts - it is not likely that you could swing by and pick this vehicle up and pour in some gas and install a new battery and drive off - BUT - the motor has ALWAYS run well and was never a problem. BUT - it does NOT run right now. I doubt much of anything that has been sitting for 3 or 4 years would. We spent some time today - Tuesday - trying to start it. We put in a battery out of another car and tried to start it - the fuel pump does not make a sound - it IS getting 12 volts - so - we have to assume the fuel pump is frozen up - cost $80 at a local parts house. We poured some gas into the throttle body and the motor started - but died quickly - as is the case with fuel injected motors - they really do require a working fuel pump. The work done to the drive lines and transfer case is worth more than $2,000 - the body is good shape and would be a great replacement for a rolled or wrecked Wrangler for someone. This really IS a bargain. BUT - it is NOT a perfect get in and go vehicle. There has been a lot of response and a couple of people have already been by to look at it - for that reason we will continue with the " buy it now " price of $1,950.00 - anyone paying that and putting down the deposit right away will own it. After 3 PM pacific time - Sunday - 2-12-2012 - we will let the auction take place. SO - if you really want it - your best bet is to pay the $1,950.00 BEFORE Sunday - otherwise the bidding could easily push the selling price past $2,000 - just how it works.
