Vehicle Detail
I'm listing this Suburban for a friend. My friend brought this car from his neighbor who was the second owner of this vehicle. He has owned it for over 10 years. His neighbor brought the truck as repairable salvage . It is said that he wanted one of these trucks to customize but he didn't want to spend $40k on a new truck and then spend another 10 to 15k customizing it to his liking with custom paint and kits and so on. So he went on a search for a repairable/salvage truck. He found this truck that wasn't badly damaged, so he got this truck and went to work on his vision. I saw this truck when it was in its prime it was very nice. There was the unique paint and body kit, spoiler. It had a custom audio and video system. With a custom box and ceiling and headrest mounted tVs, and speakers. It was generally parked in front of his business as a promotional vehicle. It was a One of one. What you see now visually, is a far cry from its most glorious days. ALL OF THE ABOVE MENTIoNeD AudiO and VideO components Have BeeN ReMoVED.. This has left vacant spaces where these things once were. No front headrests, No radio in the dash, or center console, there is a spot cut out in the headliner where the where the roof mounted tv monitor once was, also in the back where the roof speakers were. There are various interior and exterior issues, review mirrors, back barn door panel, back doors are stuck, no 3 row seats, there are about three more patches on the roof where the paint is peeling on the roof like the 1 pictured on the driver side over the windshield, there are some other missing finishing pieces and this that or the other. Mechanically; my friend brought this truck knowing that the motor was seized, and it needed and engine from his neighbor in spite of all the other blemishes. He got a motor from one of his acquaintances who Works at a body shop and took the motor out of a wrecked from the back truck that they had at the shop, with the same engine. Because the truck was running when it was wrecked I guess they just assumed it was good. In addition he gave it to him essentially as a gift at no cost - he didn't do any real testing of the motor to ensure its viability. So my friend had his mechanic install the motor, he brought lots of new parts, water pump, hoses, belts, spark plugs, gaskets, starter, fluids and a few more things. When the mechanic completed the install and started the motor that they discovered that the engine has a bottom end EnGiNE noise. The car runs and drives--- He drove the car 40 miles yesterday. SO THERE IS A BoTTOM end ENgINE NoiSE!!! It will likely need an ENGiNE OVERHAUL!!! My friend has lost interest in this truck and ask me to list it here for him. He's in the car $3500 with the purchase price of the car, the labor for the mechanic and all of the new parts that he brought all last week, he has various receipts they come with the truck. He's looking for the best offer over $2000. He was going to fix all of the issues with the truck--- until his heart got broken with the bad engine news... So he's trying to cut his losses. There are no warranties expressed or implied the truck is being sold as is where is. Its available for inspection in person for anyone who would like to see it. The car is as pictured. For arguments sake assume that you're buying this car for PaRtS---- or as a PrOject. Thanks for Looking please ask any and all questions prior to bidding winning.
