This 1982 Mercedes 240D is in super condition.It has 288860 miles however, the engine was conpletely rebuilt at about 26,000 miles ago. I bought the car in August 2011 after the original owner donated it to a chairlty. I bought it from a dealer who got it at a Manheim auction who sold it for the chairity. The auction lost the owners paperwork. I drove this car back from Florida to Hendersonville, Tn. It is a great car. I am over 70 years old and the manual transmission with the use of the clutch with my left leg is giving me fits with my hip so I have decided to sell it. The car spent its first thirty years garaged in Maryland. I would dirve this car anywhere. As you can see by the pictures the engine looks like a new one. There are a few cosmetic issues. There is a small reverse ding on the hood, could be fixed easily. There is a small rust area under the left rear fender. Can be seen only by looking under the fender. This also could be repaired very easily. This is the only rust . The inside is in excellent condition. I get over 40 MPG. With this new engine the car is good for 200,000 mile plus if it is taken care of. The tires on the car are almost new. The A/C blows really cold air.
