Vehicle Detail
Here is my Jetta. No reserve, highest bid wins. Title in hand. It's the GLS vr6 automatic. Enkei wheels included (see pics) So it has every option possible, heated leather seats and all, except the factory disc changer which broke, and I never found a replacement. I bought it to use as a daily driver, to keep miles off my other car. Eventually I let the now Xgf drive it, mistake, horrible driver. (see pics) She bumped into a car in a parking lot with passenger side of rear bumper (should buff out) and also grazed a guardrail (that won't buff out) It's really not bad. It just caught the edge of the front and rear wheel wells, just the outer edge or lip of them. The front looks like it's just paint, but the back lip does have a small dent along the top of the wheel well.(see pic) Oh and she also broke the cup holder somehow, it's still there but will fall off if you try to put a drink in it. (slides out from behind a dash piece, you'll never know your missing it... until you need a cup holder) It's been very reliable all in all, and was a good daily driver. Very comfy and heated seats are so nice in winter. I have maintenance records for most everything thats been done to it. Always used good synthetic oil, mostly mobile1. Some coolant pipe known as the "crack pipe" is the only thing outside of regular maintenance that has been replaced. Needs timing belt and belt guides, interested keep reading. A trusted mechanic, who's owned and worked on VW for many years, also very big into aftermarket industry. Diagnosed the car with broken timing guides, timing belt has not skipped. It's just the guides get worn out and noisy. Granted if you drive it like this you could go across country or the next stop sign. So I'm going to recommend you tow it, but thats up to you. For more information on vr6 timing belt check out VWvortex .com it has the DIY instructions for Tbelt replacement, search "vr6 12v timing belt" It's actually easy job if you have the tools but very time consuming. To make it a good daily driver it'll need the following. Timing belt and associated guides (oem VW parts less than $300 total) Needs rear suspension bushings (think it's the bushings on the front side of the rear suspension cradle, whatever VW calls it??) has a slight vibration in high speed corners (oem $90) And could use new struts at some point in the near future, but not immediately necessary. Also the CEL is on for catalyst inefficiency. *Mileage is an estimate, I know it's close to 150k, could be 146k or 164k can't remember. Sorry it's cold outside and I don't feel like looking right now. If someone has to know I'll look later. Anyways broke up with X let her keep it till she got her own car, so got it back from X-gf drove it for about 10k miles, then bought another daily driver. With intent of selling the VW then it started making the Tbelt noise and I debated fixing it or selling as is, and well you figured out which one I decided. Auction is final. No BS bidders please. If your interested great, buy it. If you want to come kick the tires first, come kick the tires before you bid. Your more than welcome to come look at it prior to bidding. Message me. Car is located in the New Philadelphia - Dover, Ohio area. On Feb-09-12 at 14:22:01 PST, seller added the following information: **** apparently I entered the wrong vin#, sorry.
