I have been using this vehicle for work, which requires periodic trips of over 200 miles. But, I am now retiring and I do not need this car any more. The car has been immaculately cared for wit all services performed on time. It is in awesome condition, with no service issues. Although I continue to drive it, and the mileage will change slightly, it currently has approximately 104,000 miles. I consistently get 45+ miles per gallon on trips, and month-to- month the built in computer shows an average of 42-43 MPG per month. Great mileage and long service are major pluses for diesel engines. Diesel usually runs a little higher than regular unleaded, and I find the price to be about the price of premium at most locations. This car runs GREAT! It has no leaks or drips, and there is no oil on the engine. At approximately 100,000 miles I had a new Timing Belt and water pump installed. The manual calls for changing the timing belt at 100,000 miles. I also had the transmission fluid changed, with a new filter and service at approximately 100,000 miles. The car has always been serviced with synthetic oil and I have had it changed within the last 500 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic. At the last oil change I had the fuel filter changed too. This car should be ready for the next 100,000 miles. The headlights had begun to cloud so at the time that I had my other 100,000 maintenance done I had new headlights installed. They really make the car look brand new. I tried to make representative photos which are included. As you can see there are no stains or tears in the carpet or seats. This car has spent its life in the south so there are no snow-weather stains (or any other stains for that matter) in the carpet. The grey leather seats look as though it has never been sat in. I am a non-smoker and the first owner was a non-smoker. To the best of my knowledge the car has never been smoked in. The interior of this car looks and smells new. The drive-train is in tip-top shape. The TDI engine runs smoothly and the transmission shifts as designed with no abrupt or hard shifts. All electrical options such as air conditioning, power windows, power locks, sound system, etc, are in perfect working order. The driver's side rear door electric lock occasionally drags, but when it does, and I need to open the door I use the interior door handle and it opens and closes perfectly. It comes with both a CD and cassette tape players, both of which work perfectly. The Aluminum Wheels are in Great Condition. These wheels have never been up against a curb, so no scrapes or nicks, and they show no signs of corrosion. All four tires are in good condition with what appears to be 75% of the tread remaining. The car has no rust or corrosion anywhere on it. This is expected as it has always been a southern car and not exposed to the salt and chemicals used for snow removal. The paint is excellent. The paint is Brilliant Silver, and is bright and shiny. There are no dings or chips in the doors or anywhere else. At home the car is kept in a garage, and at work it has a private parking spot with no cars on either side. Perfect to protect from today's wide doors and folks in a hurry. This vehicle has an existing extended warranty that is good through 196,000 miles. The warranty is transferrable but there are fees required for the transfer (payable to the warranty provider). If the buyer has an interest in this I will provide the buyer with the paperwork to make the transfer, and I will cooperate with the buyer to get this done. The warranty is not part of this eBay auction. I provide this information only to let the bidder know that he/she can pay the fees for this and the warranty will transfer. The warranty includes the engine, transmission, air conditioning, electrical, etc. If you are the high bidder, this means that you bought the car. It doesn't mean that you have earned the right to come, take a look, renegotiate price or decide if you want it or not. This is a legal and binding contract. The $500.00 deposit is non-refundable and must be paid within 24 hours by Pay Pal. The balance is due within 7 days and must be paid by cash, or wire transfer. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks unless prior arrangements have been made. It will not leave until I have been completely paid in full. Delivery is possible, but not included. The buyer is responsible for any and all delivery costs.
