Vehicle Detail
1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate.(re-listed due to bidder changing mind..... please do not bid if you cannot complete the purchase) I bought this car in 2007 and have loved it very much! It is in exceptional condition both mechanically and cosmetically with a few blemishes here and there. After driving the car i got the Alfa bug and joined the oregon and national chapters of the alfa romeo club. The top is a cloth top and looks pretty much like new, the paint is exceptionally bright and shiney, the interior is pristine with the exception of a upholstery tear in the driver's seat. One thing that i also like about this car is it has no radio... just a Pininfarina blanking plate. Nice. Whilst driving an italian convertible you do not want a radio.... trust me. You want to listen to the complimentary music of machinery, the wind and chirping birds. I have pretty complete service records of this car going back to september 22nd 1988. Under my ownership I have had the following work done: -muffler-all shocks-drive shaft motor mount-motor mounts-fuel filler neck hose-windshield washer reservoir-driveline donut-rear axle limiter straps & bushings-water pump-tune up-belts changed-valve adjust-new michelin pilot exalto tires-and more! you can drive this car anywhere as it has been sorted. there is one small ding in the passenger side behind the door which you can see in the photos..... someone let their motorcycle fall into it. doh! odometer currently reads 111,386 - just drove the car today.... it runs and drives flawlessly...... the car is definitely a top-notch example. you will be hard pressed to find another spider that has ALREADY BEEN SORTED mechanically combined with an almost like new cosmetic condition. there are tons of edgy spiders out there, this definitely is not one of one other thing i wanted to mention is that even though this car may have a bit more miles on it than some spiders, i think it is actually a better car than a lot of the lower mileage spiders i have seen. why ? well for one it has been gone through and completely dialed-in and sorted mechanically. i bet 8 out of 10 spiders out there have broken or severely worn rear axle limiter straps because most cars have not been taken to knowledgeable service people who even know an alfa has rear axle limiter straps. also, from a physical condition standpoint, the paint and interior and body is almost like new on the car with no rust and little if any wear..... the car almost looks and feels new. many lower mileage cars i have seen have some pretty strange things going on body / paint and interior wise. i have 9 cars including a 1979 ferrari 308 gtb, a 2009 porsche carrera, a 1959 austin healey sprite and a few others...... this car received every bit as much attention from my mechanic and detailer as those other cars..... this spider isn't some neglected car owned by someone that has nary a clue...... the price is quite a bit below book and i almost feel like if it sells for that its too good of a deal, but i only want 4 cars so the alfa has to go, it is a good car.... proceed with confidence.
