Vehicle Detail
It breaks my heart to sell this car, but it's time for someone else to enjoy it. This is an all original 1968 Lincoln Continental 4 door sedan, with 72,000 original miles on it. Here is the deal. This car sat for 14 years, in storage, until we picked it up, hence the low miles. You'd be hard pressed to find another 1968 Lincoln with 72,000 original miles on it!!!! EVERYTHING is power!!! The seats, the vent windows, the antenna, the door locks (vacuum powered) AND IT ALL WORKS, WITH NO ISSUES!!! The interior is beautiful with only a few small cracks in the dash pad (typical). No holes in the seats, but one small tear in the headliner just above the drivers head. Since we've had it, here is what we've done to it: 1) We pulled the engine and had it gone through. Since it sat for all those years, we wanted to freshen it up. I don't like "issues". It's all new, including the belts and hoses. 2)New brakes all around, including new calipers. 3)Complete new exhaust. 3)New helper srings in the rear. 4)New AC compressor, which blows ice cubes, it's so cold. 5)4 New tires. 6)New radiator 7)We added the stereo, and the amp, with new heavy duty 4x10 rear speakers. Being a musician, I gotta have my tunes right!! 8)New fuel sending unit. Mechanically, the car is 100%, and runs like a new 1968 Lincoln!! THEE smoothest riding car *I'VE* ever driven, bar none!! The only real issues with the car is the paint/body. It needs some attention, and we were going to have the whole car repainted, but everyone I showed it to, and every body shop we took it to said the same thing!! "It's an all original car.....leave it alone"!! It's got the typical Lincoln rust spots, which are in front of, and behind the back tires. There are some other spots that aren't so good, but for the most part, it's a very acceptable paint job, being 44 year old paint. I have a ba-billon photos, so if you don't see what you are looking for, drop me an email, and I will forward you more photos. Please ask any, and all questions before you bid. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is required at the end of the auction, which will be deducted from the final price. We reserve the right to end the auction at any time, as this car is also for sale locally. Thanks, and Good Luck!!
