PRETTY SURE YOU COULD CALL THIS A BARN FIND! (AT LEAST A PRESERVED BACKYARD FIND) We own a tow and recovery company here in SoCal. We were asked to get an "old chevy truck" from a backyard of an abandoned house. This had been parked in a backyard and THEN they built a block wall! Im sure it was a twig when parked, but we had the fun job of getting it off a tree. At least no rust from sitting on the ground. Took us about 8 hours but we got it out. The house was abandoned several years ago so we could not talk to the last owner. What you see is what you will get. The truck is a 1968 C-10 that originally came with a 327 and a three speed. (the factory option tag is still in the glove box) Originally white with blue interior. All glass appears good except for a broken wing window. The BEST part... It is NOT A RUST BUCKET! I have taken pics of the floor lower rockers etc and all appear to be solid. Somebody cut (with a butter knife) a 3" hole on the pass side of the trans tunnel and obviously the after market shifter. But she is solid! Frame and firewall are in fine shape as is the dash. (not cut up)We steam cleaned it just to show its quality and potential,but it is a project. Last Ca reg was 1994 (like the black plates?) WE DID NOT ATTEMPT TO START IT!! As far as mechanicals,just figure it needs to be rebuilt. Old school slotted mags were on the the truck and do come with it. DISCLAIMER: We are a tow company and old car enthusiasts. We are not mechanics. Ask any questions prior to bidding. She is being sold with California Lien Sale documents and a bill of sale from us. She will come with a VIN verification from our Police Dept. It will be very easy to register in California but not sure about other states. We will gladly help with any shipping arrangements but they are at buyers expense. Thanks for looking.
