Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE, will sell to the highest bidder. 1968 F-100 Custom Cab pickup truck. Yes, I know it has a 1972 grill, but it’s really a 1968. 300 cubic inch 6 cylinder, three speed transmission with overdrive (three on the tree). The overdrive is the old style, like a manual choke you pull out then “take your foot off the gas and shutter on down into overdrive”! This truck has an older restoration, that’s why the 72 grill, they couldn’t find a 68. I found a 68 grill that will go with the truck if the truck sells for at least $1,000, if not, it will be listed in another auction. I have a clean, clear Texas title in hand. This truck also has the factory tool box on the outside of the bed (lower front) on the passenger side. What I know about the truck. I bought it from my son-in-law eleven years ago; it was his daily driver at that time. When I bought the truck the only thing wrong was the air conditioner didn’t blow cold air. My plan was to do a frame off restoration but didn’t have the time or money to do it right away, so I filled up the gas tank with gas and put Stor-X in the gas tank to preserve it until I had the time to do the restoration right. As with a lot of projects, you never get around to it. The truck has been under our carport since I bought it to protect it from the sun. The winter of 2010 we had a record breaking snow fall for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Twelve inches of wet snow in 15 hours was too much for our carport and she came down. The backhoe next to the truck (another project) saved the truck from being crushed but four carport legs did put some dents in the truck, see pictures. A little surface rust, a few dents here and there, nothing major, just wanted to be up front about everything. There is no radio, my son-in-law kept that, and somewhere down the line someone cut holes in the lower door panels for speakers. The tires are starting to dry rot but the mag wheels are in great shape. All in all, the truck’s in very good shape, it’s all there and should be an easy restoration project. The truck has been sitting for eleven years and I haven’t touched it or tried to start it, so I don’t know what it will take to get it running. Look at the pictures, ask questions, come look at it, use it for parts or restore it. No returns, no guarantees, once it leaves here it’s yours. You can come and look at it, kick the tires, and ask questions. My name is Bruce and my cell phone number is 972-679-3372. I just retired and am cleaning out old projects I’ve never gotten too. My loss, your gain, more old vehicles will be listed soon. Cash, or good checks preferred but will accept Pay-Pal if you add 3%. All funds must clear my bank before the truck leaves. Must be paid for in full 14 days after auction closes. I will deliver for $1.75 a loaded mile paid for in advance. (Yahoo or Google maps, my address to your address) or you are welcome to come and get it or arrange your own shipping. Thanks for looking and God Bless.
