You are bidding on an unrestored, daily driven 1978 MGB in british racing green(the best color). This is my personal car and is in very nice shape for a 33 year old vehicle. It runs great and gets over 40mpg!!! This car has dual side draft carbs that can bog if you give too much throttle at low rpm, but runs like a bat out of hell above 1500 rpm. This car has no problem doing 90. I originally bought the MG because I was into Miatas and wanted to experience the vehicle the Miata was designed to be a tribute to. This car has 76k original miles. The engine runs beautifully with no strange noises or vibrations. The valve cover gasket seeps a little oil, but that's normal for a 10 year old car, much less a 33 year old one. The fitting for the oil pressure gauge also seeps a bit, but hardly worth messing with. The interior could use a few minor things like the glove box latch and passenger inner door handle(both are 33 year old plastic pieces that broke). The exterior is in very good shape with only minor imperfections. The top has a small wear spot at the passenger side lower corner(does not leak). It would take very little to make this car perfect. I have 2 restoration books that have every little piece you could ever need for this car. Prices are pretty cheap too, less expensive than parts for an old mustang. It has an aftermarket cd player that does not power on and the door speakers were removed by the previous owner. The tires are nearly new. You will not be disappointed by this classic british beauty. Imagine dropping the top and cruising down a twisty country road. It doesn't get much better than that. Preferred payment method is Cash.
