1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Eliminator Clone Convertible 351C 4bbl Edlebrock Carb, 10.5:1 TRW Forged Pistons, Erson High Lift cam, Edlebrock aluminum intake, power steering, A/C car but no compressor or hoses, Stainless exhaust, Global west suspension and shocks(tubular upper control arms) 1 1/2 inches lower than stock, Factory hood scoop and aftermarket rear spoiler, power windows and power top, AM/FM cassette with Sony 10 disc cd changer in trunk. Custom Opal Frost metallic paint(only available on 94-96 Mustangs) with Eliminator stripes, BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on 14" GT steel wheels. The Good: Strong engine, runs great, nice throaty sound, body and paint in great shape, front and rear bumpers like new, interior and carpet in great shape, top great floors trunk frame rails torque boxes all in great shape with absolutely no rust. Car has been in Southern California all of its life and in the garage since it was restored in 1994. Overall nice fun beautiful car. The Not So Good: the car does have some paint chips on hood and p/s door, seam for folding rear window split. Don't know if it can be repaired or if it just has to be replaced. Missing black plastic lower steering column cover. In trunk but has broken tabs. The paint on the p/s quarter panel has a 2 1/2 inch crack. Very fun car to drive and a real head turner. I get people asking about the car all the time when I drive. Hate to sell but need the room. Don't have time to drive so car is just sitting in the garage. Will entertain all reasonable offers.
