Vehicle Detail
This 77 Champagne edition is possibly the best unrestored car of it's kind in the world.I am selling this car for my dad. He bought it from the original owner in August 1980. At that time it only had 23,000 miles on it. The car was in immaculate condition at that time and has been garaged every day since. The original owner took impeccable care of this car, and my father has taken even better care of it since. This car has less than 30,000 miles on it today. My father has only driven it the minimal miles to keep it in perfect working order, and maintain the integrity of the mechanical parts. All external parts are original, except the new whitewall tires, which still have the wear nubs. The original tires were replaced due to age not wear.It has the original practically new appearance paint. The Champagne edition stripes are perfect and look like new. The top is flawless, and has never leaked. This car is one of only about 500 limited "Champagne" S723 edition models manufactured in 1977. This one was manufactured in May of 1977. Only select dealerships were given one of these editions. This car was also one of a few with a factory air conditioner. The air conditioner works like new.Though every one may tell you that their beetle leaks a little oil, and that all beetles leak a little oil, this one does not.To see an objective report on this edition car you can view..." sebeetles.com/contents.htm "This car has never been detailed as my dad doesn't like doing that as it conceals the actual condition of the car. For a $200 detail this car would practically be show quality. The car has had light exterior cleanings, and has been waxed numerous times for protection. Recently a mechanic told my father that he thinks the right rear fender was repainted, so that is a possibility. The engine has never been cleaned and from the pictures you can see it is in excellent condition. The serial no. is.. 1572095218 .This car will only increase in value. We realize that this car is priced higher than the rest, but we are confident that it is better than the rest.Sorry about having only a few pictures.. I took many more good photos and loaded them but they didn't remain on the edit and now I have lost them.
