Vehicle Detail
1965 Chevy Impala with a 383 Stroker Engine, TH400 Transmission, 12-Bolt Rear End This car turns heads everywhere we go and it is running great! I mostly drove the Impala for local travel to ice cream parlors and restaurants. Also, I have taken the Impala to a couple of local car shows and many people have shared their enthusiasm for this vehicle. People ask me if this car has headers as the 383 Stroker is strong and sounds great! Here is a list of work performed in 2010: New Edelbrock intake manifold, new Edelbrock carburetor with manual secondary's, hoses, belts, mild cam to keep it street friendly (with some kick), new U-joints, deep sump oil pan for cooling, Melling high volume oil pump, Dart fast burn heads (with just a touch of porting and polishing), Eagle rotating assembly, SS rally wheels, Eagle tires, new vinyl interior, radiator with a clutch on the fan to reduce noise. In 2011, I had the following completed: New idler arm, center link, and strut rod bushings. Brake adjustments for the four wheel drum brakes and power booster (car brakes extremely well). New fuel gauge and sender in gas tank. Repacked and adjusted front wheel bearings. New dual exhaust extending all the way back to the sides. New key set for ignition, trunk, and doors. New gasket set and breather for carburetor. New vent window regulators (driver and passenger). New T-handle shifter and new transmission cable by Shiftworks. New distributor, wire set, and spark plugs. Interior work includes new sail panels in rear, new seat buns (driver, passenger, and rear bench), new seat belts, and wind lace. All new weather-stripping throughout entire vehicle. While I have invested quite a bit of money to bring the car to it's current condition, here are some additional items to share so that you're informed. Horn is disconnected. Odometer is disconnected (at time of purchase, and never had it connected). Trunk wiring harness does not have reverse lights. Also, I have included photos of areas related to paint. Note there is one photo with a two-inch diameter area beneath the rear window where paint is raised, but solid. Clock in center console does not work. Radio does not work, but the engine plays better music anyway. All of these items are minor costs; however, I simply wanted you to know. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the Impala. Thanks, Randy.
